QPR owners are amongst the wealthiest. I'm not saying he'd go there as things stand but if the right manager came along looking for a job that could pretty much guarantee them moving up a level they might decide to get their money out. That the club is in London, does have money (if they choose to spend it), and was the best offer/challange on the table for him at the time it would be something for him to consider.

Comparing an offer like say a big spending QPR with an established financially well run team Tottenham, the QPR offer might just suit him better.

Fernandes is not that rich. Their old board may have been.

well, i suppose theoretically it is possible, but really, it isn't. his ego would not allow him to move from real madrid, probably the most prestigious football club in the world, playing in front of 85,000 impassioned, expectant madridistas to qpr, the loft and the denizens of shepherd's bush.

Exactly, where is there bigger to go than Real Madrid? He's already done the big club circuit, RM, Chelsea, Milan. Does he want more of the same or might a different option appeal to him? Mancini went to City didn't he...

I'm just saying I wouldn't be totally surprised should the unthinkable happen... I'd be less surprised if say he chose QPR over a bigger team with a European pedigree like Newcastle, Villa, or Tottenham. It comes down to what offer/club blueprint is on the table, and what they're going to let him spend.

I can see us being high up on his list of possible destinations. United would be his first choice, but then it could just be between us and City. It will probably come down to timing and if he's willing to wait for the United job.

I think a Lambert-style appointment would suit us more than a Mourinho, in all honesty. We don't have the funds to keep Jose happy, we have no idea how well he'll develop younger/raw players, and we have no idea how he'll do as a genuine underdog who can't outspend his rivals.

No doubt Jose's man management skills are spectacular and his tactics are incredibly detailed, but he hasn't worked in a situation where he can't go out and spend every time he dislikes something. I'd rather a manager who has proven his resourcefulness and willingness to take risks under tight constraints.

No manager is guaranteed. The greatest manager on the planet may have a dodgy first season, or an unknown may do brilliantly. That's why we should do everything we can to keep Harry (we know).

I think he will heading to Manchester.
JM needs a big transfer kitty to work wonders.
Not our type!

But he didn't have that huge cheque book at Porto did he? He still won the UEFA & Champions league. And do we really need that much spent on our team? We are league challengers now, if Jose came and could attract two or three players then we'd be laughing.

Man Utd is a poisoned chalice, especially now City have so much cash.

If he goes to City he won't get any glory ("could only do it at the biggest spenders")

We're in with a shout.
