He’s made our defenders worse which takes some doing, his methods clearly aren’t working, Levy won’t buy him a whole new defence so I can’t see him lasting long in a job.
I don’t think he’s made our defenders worse, they were making these same mistakes at end of Poch’s reign.
don’t think we need a whole new defence but a CB and regullion back would make a big diff

Boring boring Jose haters getting early I see. Yes, we know you hate him and I’m sure you couldn’t wait for us to lose so that you could come in here and moan and shit.

Let me lay this out really really plainly, City have won 12 out of 14, drawing the other 2, haven’t conceded a home in 7 games, beat Liverpool 4-1 last week at Anfield, have spent hundreds of millions of pounds on players. Today was always going to be a smash and grab game, and individual errors have cost us again.

Today is not the important game, the next 5/6 are! If you think Mourinho will get the sack for losing against City at their place then you are totally and utterly deluded. All we could have hoped for today was a smash and grab, that’s it.
I hate Jose. I desperately wanted Spurs to win today DESPERATELY. I saw no fight from Spurs and City put 3 past us without trying.

City are bankrolled by a country, have barely let in a goal in their last 10 matches, won 15 in a row and added to that we have an academy player playing RB, Sanchez and Dier CB making mistakes and Davies who is so average, as well as Lucas and Lamela the headless ineffective chickens, City have £50m players all over the pitch.

This one is again not on Jose. We didn’t expect anything and we didn’t get anything, onto the next one.

A few good points -

Tanganga is special and needs so much more game time. He will be a worldie one day at either CB/RB.

We had a lot of fight and endeavour in the first half, if it wasn’t for a bad penalty call and Kane’s free kick going in I think it would’ve been a different second half.

Bale showed real intent and effort for the first time since he joined. Seems to be motivated and deserves a look in going forward.

Im not in the sack Jose camp but what's the deal? He got his transfers, he's been lucky with injuries other than Lo Celso. Why do we suck after 15 months?

I always want Spurs to win, but I no longer believe they will.
He has taken everything from me, the sooner I see him out the door the better

There was fight they just dominated the ball. We tried but didn’t have the tools to be effective against them today.

The squad isn't good enough for a short-term manager such as Jose. Mourinho comes into clubs that have the pieces in place to win trophies (or the resources to get them very quickly) and finishes the job.

We on the other hand have been playing catch-up for years after a dreadful period between 2016 and 2018 where we didn't upgrade a single position in our best XI. First we had allowed the midfield to languish, so had to devote all of our resources to Ndombele and Lo Celso. That didn't fix the problem so we had to get Hojbjerg in. Next on the list was fullback, where we spent ~75m on Sessegnon, Reguilon, and Doherty. That hasn't fully solved the problem and there's still work to do to shore up the RB position.

Meanwhile Vertonghen, Alderweireld, and Lloris declined and we've, as yet, failed to line up adequate replacements. Fixing those crucially important positions will require major investment. Squad players such as Lucas, Lamela, Winks, Sissoko, and arguably Dele all need to be upgraded. Then there are still the problems of the second-choice striker and RWF, which Vinicius and Bale have not solved, and if ITK is correct will be revisited in the summer.

Major surgery needs to be done on the squad. It's a "project" through and through. The simple fact of the matter is that Jose is not a project manager. Never has been, never will be. We can sit here and debate his merits and his faults but he is ill-suited to the task at hand. That's more Levy's problem than Jose's, but it now seems inescapable to me that we will need to go in a different direction.

Sorry, if you still want him as manager you’re a lost cause. He has nothing to offer. City are without their best defender, midfielder and striker - and they’re in first gear destroying us 3-0. Imagine thinking we have any hope with this helmet in charge in the final. It’s painful to read how hard some of you are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome

That was our heaviest defeat in the PL under Mourinho. I’m curious to know what it was under the last 4 managers.

I think you’re being remarkably generous. They look absolutely clueless out there. Even when we defend well, we’ve conceded 3 against a City team that have barely got out of second gear.
First half we were ok second made more mistakes. Clearly our defense is shit. Moving ndomble up and bringing on sissoko was a terrible decision. Must have been fatigue.

You're absolutely right of course.

But why are we all in here laying into Jose?? Who has been the mainstay in all of this?
