I defended mourinho more than most this season, but after watching Brighton’s football against Leeds yesterday I can’t defend Jose’s footballing methods again , absolute travesty playing the way we did

Oh apologies 2 then like that makes a massive difference to my point lol

united didn't bring him in to win the europa league and the league cup; that's not why they paid him the absurd money they did. he spent £350m on transfer fees, not including the absurd wages for the likes of ibra, sanchez & pogba and they were completely outclassed by guardiola, both entertainment wise and success-wise. there's a reason the latter is going to win another title this week and the former will be on talksport.

it's also quite possible that solskjaer, the alleged PE teacher who's lasted as long as him now, will match his achievements with an EL and a 2nd place finish despite not being hailed as the second coming.

You mean Guardiola who spent more money than him in the same time period...

Anyway the debate was whether he under achieved at Utd, based on his time there he didn't. He has a near identical record as Ole after 144 matches and finished higher than Ole has done at Utd so far and actually won silverware at the club, if you call that underachieving then...

If Utd didn't bring Jose into win the League Cup and Europa League then what's Solskjaer's purpose seeing as he has won nothing at all?

if we're talking net, guardiola's at £340m whilst JM's at £285m. it's hardly prince and the pauper.

he has an identical record to solskjaer, a manager no other top team would appoint. how is that not damning?

You're the one that was happy to bring up spend, not me so you've basically contradicted your own point.

Again I'm not making a point about him being hired again or whether he's a good manager now, I don't care about that - I'm debating a point about whether he under or overachieved at Utd which is where the original debate started from, stats say that he underachieved or at least achieved par.

Happy to see he’s been made a pundit again for the euros. I really do hope someone grills him about his stint at us and he opens up about a few home truths. The players can’t keep hiding and getting away with this.

Hilarious. Poor old Jose. Maybe they’ll grill him on his negative tactics and inability to get a team to pass and move?

I know it was only Sheff Utd but that was so enjoyable, we passed with zip and purpose, we pressed high and properly and with intensity, we kept the ball and kept attacking, we attacked with freedom and movement.

This is similar to when Jose left Utd and Ole came in and all of a sudden they were winning again and scoring for fun.

We have our attacking Spurs back :)

What did he say? I missed the PM presser

Said from the first whistle we were on the front foot and pressed well, played some good football, being on the front foot we're closer to goal and able to score more and we've been working on that for the last few weeks plus we're taking a step in the right direction and playing football the Tottenham way.
