It is ok to think Pochettino did a great job for us, but could’ve done a bit more and ultimately was on the decline, and also be excited by Mourinho’s good start and the potential for where he can take us, right?
Yes that is fine, it is also fine to accept that some managers are better in different situations.

I think Poch was the perfect manager for us when he took over. He was good at putting a team together and getting rid of the egos.

I think Jose is very well suited to us now. We have more experienced players now that need some managing and know how to actually win things.

No, it most certainly is not.

Choose a side and relentlessly hammer home those views over and over again until we all die.

I'm really happy with how he's doing.

Defensively we are still all over the place, but bar the first 20 minutes yesterday, we should have absolutely battered Villa. We also seem to be playing exciting attacking football with good interplay and counter attacking, Bergwine looks an inspired signing, and the only reason we aren't scoring more is the wastefulness in front of goal and sometimes poor decision making by the likes of Moura/Son and Alli.

He's adapted the tactics without Kane in my opinion in a more impressive fashion than how Poch did it. Poch played Son up top but we actually relied on a individual moment of brilliance to win many of those games and Poch thankfully had Son in top form then. Son's form at the moment is actually quite shocking, but he's still scored 6 in 5 and we look more fluid in attack than we have done for years. Under Poch even in the better years attacking was often very pedestrian, a few games aside.

I am quite excited with the way we attacked yesterday. Just need to tighten up at the back and exert more control in midfield.

We look on course I'd say for top 4 at the moment, we have momentum, and for that Jose has to get a whole heap of credit. How could anyone bet against the man securing us top 4? He's a winner who know show to do it.

Didn’t really want Poch to go. So much respect and love for what he did for our club during his time with us. But I have to say, I’ve been very impressed with how JM has gone about his business so far. Handled the press sublimely. Offloaded some of the poison. Reduced the age of the first team. And getting some results. Can’t really knock anything he’s done. He’s been quality so far in very difficult circumstances.

Respect.....

Very true but then you don't win 20 trophies without having sometimes about you a to class manager who eventually will deliver.

Seen this a few times today and I absolutely love it. Doesn’t get caught up in the emotion just knows exactly what to do.. think he even switched subbing Lucas off to Bergwijn as he was further away at the time haha

I've been really impressed, pleased, and maybe even a little surprised, at Jose's attitude. Both on and off the field.
He just knows every aspect of the game so well and comes across as a really passionate, intelligent and likeable bloke - well, likeable now he's ours!

Regardless of the circumstances around his appointment, I always said that Jose was destined for us. And so far he's doing a good job with a squad that we all knew was in need of rebuilding/refreshing/inspiring. Also, he's complete box office.

With the Son injury news, this is probably the worst squad situation Mourinho has ever had to deal with in his career. Now is the time to see what he is really made of, and what he can come up with. I think he can, and even if he fails I wouldn't hold it against him.

I personally see him going with Dele up top as a False 9, with a very slim chance that Parrott gets some game time too. You never know for sure with Mourinho, one of the reasons it's exciting to have him as our manager.

Any other manager on earth and I would right the rest of the season off, but JM gives me hope.

Just saw Jose on sky shutting up some stupid media twit saying " you perhaps have something to prove against Leipzig " Jose says " 21 titles in twenty years and nothing to prove " I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea . He just knows how to play the media thank goodness .
I hope he can pull a rabbit out of the hat but because with no Kane and Son there will be no rest time for the front men sadly .
Perhaps some of the Dele haters might get off his back and give him some vocal support and you never know we might be OK.

Not sure I understand this comment. At home games Dele is always supported. The Dele song is chanted probably more than any other player's song bar Kane. If he's experiencing a loss of form it's nothing to do with the fans.

I think some members of SC forget that it doesn’t represent Spurs fans as a whole.
