Not everyone is listening to tactical podcasts and YouTube channels.
That’s true. But I would argue that you don’t need that to see what’s going on on the pitch. And in terms of entertainment, was it that much more entertaining to watch the team constantly recycling the ball around the halfway point or further back? There’s a limit to have nice it is to watch square passing against established defences.

The convex Polygon, the way we counter has a pattern and is deliberate. There's a reason why Jose's counter attacks are so difficult to stop because they are very hard to defend against.

did you see that diabolical polygon last night?

Sorry, but that video is a load of bollocks. The video basically presents a load of times the front four are close to each other...or not close to each other. At any moment of the ninety, you could draw a line between the front four and create a 'convex polygon'. The video shows absolutely nothing of import.

Yeah - quite funny thinking about the anti Jose brigade sharpening their knifes so they can land something on him though :D
See this is something I don't like. I was meh when we signed him but said would see how things go. Now I think the world of him.
The problem I have is a small group of "warriors" who attack anyone with a differing opinion. It's really not necessary at all. If someone doesn't like our direction fine. Their opinion. Degrading them is pure childish and really unwanted here.
Sure our football isn't 70% possession but fuck that. We are winning and scoring great goals. Long may it continue.

The only small group of warriors are the ones which pipe up constantly deriding the manager for anything they can stretch to deeming a mistake, mocking anyone who thinks that actually the style of football is not as bad as they insist it is, and stretch any perceived error in Jose’s part to be indicative of one of the many lazy stereotypes about him.

Doesn’t bring on Dele = he's a monster.
Brings off Winks = he’s a monster
Being in extra defenders = he's a dinosaur
Doesn’t blow off Ndombele as he’s walking off = there’s clearly bad blood

Etc etc etc

Wait for our next loss, even if we’re still top after it or close and it’s the first in absolutely ages. When it comes, this place will be teaming with ‘I told you sos’ and ‘Jose is past it’s’.

You’re right to sat there are a small minority of fans who are loudly anti-Mourinho and will pounce on every loss. As I’ve already said that might be 10% posters here. Perhaps it’s happening on twitter and people are transferring that across to here? I wouldn’t know.

But the anti-Mourinho sentiment by a tiny minority is being blown well out of proportion by the almost religious outcry by an even greater number of Mourinho “defenders”. These voices are often more interested in attacking the 10% and virtue signalling than they are actually talking about Mourinho in any sort of interesting or insightful way. Go back X pages and count the number of posts gloating or making personal/factional comments versus those making non-combative posts about Mourinho.

It’s really boring and I think this thread is more interested in politics and point scoring at times than it is discussing football. IMO

I don't have a problem with those who are anti Jose, it's those who are unable to express their opinions without attacking people first act like dicks in the process, there's people on here that do that - they know who they are, it's a minority but a loud minority nonetheless.

Frankly, vitriol is pretty shit whatever form it takes and coming on just to goad people about you being right and then be wrong (even if this is fallacious) is pretty sad. But that’s the word we live in. Extreme v extrem. No centralism. Politics, social topics, views on football, opinions about current events, whatever the topic, we’re just in a world where nuance is difficult to find, compromise even more so, and the idea that two people can differ in opinion but neither be arguing (or neither be right) is dead dead dead.

I’ve definitely been guilty of that myself. And I don’t think that it’s bad against other teams fans - that’s the fun of football tribalism. But a bit tedious ad nauseum on here.

It would be nice if we shared our views on football + reasoned arguments a bit more without goading others.

I like your posts fwiw. I think you post with the right spirit. Top poster

I am looking forward to an interviewer asking Jose about his 'convex polygon tactic'. I just cannot wait to hear Jose's reply.

Yep you are right with that group leGin, but there is another group. Those who denigrate anyone who speaks out of their line. And only a small group (just like the other group) and god forbid anyone say anything out of their opinion of the line.
We all have opinions and NOBODY should be shot down for voicing that opinion.
Fuck I have become a liberal! :wideyed:

Well this is kind of what I referred too. You and a few others are really the king abusers. Maybe just sit back and laugh at them. No need for the abuse mate. You are better than that.

There’s a hint of David Brent about him on his Instagram feed. All that’s missing is a picture of Finchy on the wall and some Desree lyrics. ?

Nonsense, this is really astute analysis, you obviously haven't seen his follow-up video...Spurs' genius Hendecagon formation when all 11 players are on the pitch.
