The stupid thing about Mourinho is that he just keeps falling out with players.

He looked so happy and chilled to be back in football but the same situation has come back again.

Most of his firings have come from this issue.
The scene in All or Nothing when he has that conversation with Rose told me everything. A totally sudden change of atmosphere and mood when he felt a certain degree of criticism.

I re-watched not long ago and realized he seemed to have shrunk when having to face a player one on one and be brutally honest. Makes me wonder if the players picks up on that mannerism or not.

Mourinho's hardly the first manager to fall out with someone though, is he?

When Poch cast Andros and Ade etc out, it was seen as ruthless and strong. Even the treatment of Vincent Janssen was extremely harsh and detrimental to the team, but he was backed because it was down to the player to impress him. Not the other way round. Same could be said about Sissoko for the first year or two, who was told he'd been signed to 'train with the team' and wasn't guaranteed to play.

So, it's hardly newsworthy that a manager falls out with a player or two. Maybe he's just not good at picking *who* to fall out with..?

This Chelsea game is massive. Show a bit of fucking effort or something is seriously wrong
You know how this goes, we'll probably scuff one early, defend like beavers until the 89th minute just before the board goes up to show 2 added minutes and Werner will put a hattrick away.

Don't think calling out fellow Spurs fans, is 'brilliant'. We are not Arsenal.

This the same guy who was adamant we should sign Sangare and was spaffing in his pants when we were linked?

The point is we could all sit here in hindsight and say someone was wrong or right months down the line.

On the surface our window appeared to be excellent and very shrewd. However, it still didn't change the fact that we hadn't signed a CM or an experienced CB, which are two big reasons we have had problems. You can only really judge the window on the players that came in, I could easily make an argument that we are paying for a period of no recruitment and are having to buy way more players than needed.

The players we signed wasn't going to be enough to satisfy all our issues, yet there was no chance we'd sign 10 players in one window.

He’s another one of those fighting cock know nothings isn’t he. Not one to take any notice of at all.

I’m still taken aback at the speed this has all deteriorated.
literally dec15th we were playing against Liverpool for top spot, and justifiably could feel aggrieved that we walked away from anfield without 3points.
I had no problems with the strategy that day, or the mentality of the players.
Fast forward 6 weeks, and the players have downed tools apparently and it’s all gone to shit, probably unsaveable according to the information from our trusted guys in the know.

Clearly the return fixture against Liverpool was the key moment, we came out after half time looking shell shocked. Would love to know what actually happened, as all we’ve had are some rumours and lots of theories since then. Brighton was just players looking to avoid making mistakes, and not trusting each other. Very weak mentally.

Only things that we’ve heard since that don’t quite fit are the news about the loans out.
firstly I can’t understand why there’s any issue with the Skipp loan. In any other situation a full season loan would be the perfect plan.
regarding sessegnon, I can understand the concern from above. We signed him to join the squad, not to learn elsewhere. But the Reguilon opportunity pushed him further down the list so at least you could see some logic
I’m not sure why these issues are such big things for levy/hitchen (unless Jose has been sounding off about the quality of the squad)

For levy to pull rank on Jose regarding dele is the biggest red flag. You just aren’t t backing the manager you personally fought to bring in. Why would you do that? Dele hasn’t earnt a free pass. He’s been hit and miss for 2 whole seasons now. Makes me questions levy’s motives and priorities.

the worst part of all of this is the inevitability of it all. Without being defeatist, I can see that we are about to become the only club that Jose fails to win a trophy with. In his whole career. Not even he can save us. That’s how it will be framed by all and sundry. It’s going to be hell. Takes spursy to a whole new level.

As someone who was open to his appointment, his pragmatism and sheer ability to win (the only thing we lacked), to see this nosedive so quickly is horrifying, because i just can’t see Kane or son hanging around for much longer either. And then we’re truly fucked. We don’t have Chelsea’s money or academy. We don’t have Arsenals academy either. We’ll be gambling on EFL and Ligue 1 players and welcoming a Thursday night match in Bulgaria.

Finally, to the fans who appear to enjoying this in order to get rid of Jose, the toldyouso’s -including the OP (who puts a voting option as ‘horrified can’t wait to see the back of him btw? FFS).
You need to have a look at yourselves if you’d rather see us struggle so your petty, small minded opinion can be proved right. That’s shit support

TL:DR How did it come to this so quickly? What’s really going on behind the scenes? Oh and don’t call yourself a support if you enjoy watching the club fail

Agree but also the way he treated the head physio was also pretty out of order, things not going his way and he becomes a different character. I really wanted him to succeed but I remember watching AON thinking he and Levy were both actually quite weird. Even when Jose was saying to Kane he could make him explode in the same way that Jose’s profile is global his meaning was well intended but it was just a bit awkward, I think over time his small comments add up.

He told Sanchez he shit himself in the EL final, he told Aurier he was scared he’d give away a penalty, he basically told the players he wanted them to confront each other more often, I see his reasons for doing and saying what he does but I just think it comes across as awkward and it doesn’t suit the modern player, if you then add to that the dramatic culling of multiple players at half time and removing them from the squad and also the negative stifling tactics I think it just all adds up and the players eventually don’t want to play for him anymore.

I think that is a very good point.

Sorry, chap but quoting out of context won't work.

The full thing you said is:

That reads like Poch's involvement was incidental or 'lesser' while Mourinho is full on responsible.

Well I also intimated that it was Poch that gave up on the players, mentioned his mood after the CL final and his comments about leaving beforehand.

If you’ve read that whole post and come to the conclusion that I was blaming the players for the downfall of Poch and not his own actions then fair enough. It certainly want my intention or belief.

The supposition that Jose has fallen out with various players... Do we know who? Or why?

Danny Rose. Okay. Makes sense. But he's not very good, and has pissed off other managers too.
Dele. Clearly something is wrong with this relationship. That goes without saying. But Jose gave Dele lots of chances last season. And old Dele showed up for about a month, and then reverted back to bad form.

Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

Unless there's a school of thought that he's fallen out with Aurier too? Because the player stormed off and left the stadium at HT, after being subbed and getting a dressing down from the manager? He behaved impetuously. And should not be mollycoddled after pulling a stunt like that.

Who else?
Lloris? No.
Toby? Nope.
Dav? Can't see why.
Reggie? Maybe there's some left over disappointment with him and Lamela being dick wads and breaking social distancing protocols.
Dier? Not a chance.
Doherty? Unlikely.
PEH? Fuck, no.
Winks? Maybe. But he's given the guy a lot of chances. And more often than not this season, he has been average at best.
Sissoko? Hell-to-the-no.
Kane? Doubtful. Unless he is pissed about doing defensive work. But something tells me he knows it comes down to the players.
Sonny? No way in hell.
Stevie B? Nada.
Lucas? Maybe. But only has his own incompetence to blame.
Bale? Could be. But hardly has a leg to stand on (mostly 'cos it's usually injured!). He's been cack.
Vini? Perhaps. Though I'd imagine his frustration is probably directed more at himself, as he wants to do better.
Lamela? See Reggie.
Lo Celso? Does he still play for us?
Hart? Methinks not.
Tanguy? Certainly last season. This season? Not at all.
Davies? Honestly don't think he cares one way or the other.
Rodon? I'm guessing he gets on well with the gaffer.
Gedson? Does it matter?
Japhet? I don't think he would have cause for complaint, as he has been struggling with injuries all season.

So, if he fallen out with players and lost the dressing room, I'd be curious to learn exactly who are the players he has ruffled and no longer want him around.
