Jose has it down to Tiredness and a Modern Penalty.
To be fair tiredness will play a part. Lamela, Sanchez, Davies, Ndombele and Hojbjerg played over 90 mins and started brightly but clearly faded.

Now, if Jose had better options than Sissoko, Winks and co on the bench we would likely have seem changes in the middle.

But because our team has been badly neglected for such a long time he doesn't have that vein of riches like Pep.

Jose deserved criticism for some of our performances but he's also working with a poorly balanced squad.

How many times this season has Mourinho picked the same back line? How many times has that been consecutive? Anyone got an answer to that?

His substitutions are just bizarre of late. We played ok 1st half with the one thing we were doing ok at was transitioning and beating their press using NDombele. Why then would you move him further up and put Sissoko in? Sissoko has no place in games where we're under so much pressure and need skill to get out of it.
Agreed, Once ndombele was pushed up, we’ve completely lost the midfield, not sure what was the plan from Jose but he should know this by now that sissoko is not the answer.

The absolute state of some of you trying to write that off as a ‘bye’, as if we haven’t been fucking woeful for months under this relic.

When the team looks lost collectively, and individual players continue to make mistakes and underperform, you’d think you might see the trend emerging.
The Emperor is stark bollock naked, but some people are as tight as the City defence in conceding to it.

Think you need to read the last couple of pages and rethink your first sentence.

Today is just another final straw to join the pile of final straws. We lacked fight, belief, a plan. I can take losing to City but they didn't even play very well, they hardly got out of 3rd gear and still made us look ordinary. I can't see how any Spurs fan can defend this style of football, if it is even a style.

IMHO, it took JG time to build and win an already excellent Man City team who have a sugar daddy.
It took JK 3 to seasons for an improved Liverpool and who now can't maintain their title.
Chelsea have a sugar daddy and buy all the best players.
We have played more games coz of europa and have looked tired. Kane has been injured. Son lost form. GLC injured.

Lets give JM time and the right investments

I dont understand this post.
What im getting at is...do you trust our defence to not make a mistake in a big EL quarter final or semi final tie?

I also am not confident that Jose will be able to turn a game around and get us a goal should we go behind.

Then why have I seen 5 pages added since the game started with the general gist of people saying “surely he has to go”. Surely that would imply that this game was the final straw? If none of those people were expecting any different then why are the posting it? Doesn’t make sense.

I think people were expecting and maybe are entitled to see us loose in a manor that shows we are being coached and managed by one of the so called greatest managers. Isn’t he supposed to help us bridge the gap.
During our time of being awful I always said I just wanted to see us compete. But with one of the best managers out there, we look less competetive then we have done in a long time.
So it’s not about loosing today I think it’s about Maureen not looking capable of bridging that gap and is being totally and comprehensively outplayed.
In the same way a good goalkeeper is supposed to earn you 10 points per season, surely it must be said for having a top manager who can out coach, out organise and out tacitly play his opposite numbers
I expected a loss but not to be made to look so poor

If our squad had the Leicester treatment since their title run we would be doing the same as they are, consistently competing with young, exciting players.

Who in their squad cost more than £30 million? I think they have rebuilt their entire squad with the same amount we spent on Lo Celso, Ndombele and Sessegnon.
Very good recruiting from Leicester

rich clubs spend and spend until they adequately replace their best players -- yaya toure, david silva, kompany. Really only four of our starters today should be starting at a top 4 club.
He started with 5 offensive players so he cannot be accuse of wanting to park the bus and snatch a win. If our attacking play wa spoor it is becuase of the quality of our play(ers) and the quality if City's.

Ideally we all want the same but Levy isn’t going to see the squad as the problem. He didn’t under Poch and he won’t now.

I just hope he stopped seeing Sissoko/Winks/Sanchez, and Davies to some extent, as players he could trust. Really, there is no point in thinking these players are anything but usable in matches. They are even worse than Championship players.

Seeing Sissoko and Sanchez given game time against Citeh when we have Toby, Rodon, Bergwijn, Bale, Dele available is just criminal.
@fortworthspur, I would love to know what do you disagree about?

How about instead of lazily implying people are being knee jerk - you look up some of the posters’ old posts and realise every single one of the posters has consistently posted how they want him gone.

Should we not post in this thread after we’ve just watched that dogshit? Do we have to wait a few days before we get the Danny1 seal of approval to post? We’re the fucking saps paying to watch it, he’s paid 15m a year to do his job, and he’s utterly failing to do it.

I didn’t say it’s knee jerk or even imply that to be fair. Also I didn’t ask if anyone wanted a seal of approval. These are all things you are making up. I’m saying that to come in here after being beaten.m by a vastly superior team who are miles ahead if everyone and screaming he had to go probably isn’t the right time.

If we lose limply against West Ham then I would totally accept it and would most likely be of similar thoughts to be honest. I’m not blind and can see how poor we have been, however I just don’t think today was the game to judge it on.

Also, be honest and look at a lot of posters in here you can see the bias against Jose. He has split the fan base from the very start and a lot of people have been gunning for him from day 1, my brother being one of them. He cannot stand him and after the Everton game at the start of the season he was already on the case about it.

I lost confidence in him a while back unfortunately. I think it’s now a case of how long we struggle on, maybe winning the odd game against a poor side, until Levy basically has to sack him. Witnessing a slow and pitiful death of a managerial great at Spurs is depressing as fuck.

We were linked with both Maddison and Tielemans and Poch turned them down. Levy should’ve had the balls to pull the trigger anyway.

The difference is that even in the early years under Pep and Klopp you still saw flashes of the philosophies they were trying to nurture.

Can you say the same under Mourinho? All I’m seeing is us playing with a low block and our attacking players “winging it”.
