And with all that being said Romano on his podcast said we are in talks with Kounde's agents.

Him plus Tomiyasu with Rodon/Toby/Davies would be my cbs if we can shift Dier and Sanchez. Tanganga hangs around for conference league or gets a PL loan.

If you had to pick between Kounde and Skriniar, who would you pick?

We won’t get either, but I’m genuinely curious. I think Skriniar would be my choice.

Kounde for me. I like Skriniar but he's older, might be a similarish price, and I think he's more limited in that he excels in a deeper block but isn't the quickest nor the best on the ball.

For Nuno/short term Skriniar would probably make a bigger difference but I think Kounde would probably be the better signing in the long run, especially if we bring someone else in as manager in two years or so who is more likely to play more progressive football.

Skriniar for the experience and the fact he's a beast.

Kounde is an amazing talent but I would worry about his height in the PL, especially in a back four. I think for the money we would have to spend on him you want the complete package, height, strength, pace, awareness.

Skriniar is left centre back isn't he? I think we're good for that if we go to 3 at the back we have Davies and Rodon. Kounde would be perfect at right centre back. One of the advantages of a back 3 is it allows 1 to step forward from time to time. Vertonghen was typically the one who did that for us. Kounde is very good at that too. I'm sure we will get Tomiyasu though, much cheaper option and plays the same positions as Kounde.

That’s awesome to hear considering the source, but unless we are selling Kane I just don’t see how we could afford it?
Exactly, especially when we are scrimping for a manager let alone a fee of €60m+ wages. I can't see it unless as you say someone is being sold which makes all this wasting of money pointless as we will need him replacing

I can 90% say we won't sign Kounde. Not a chance he comes here am afraid.
