What? They each started 1 game at the Euros. He’s kept out by Kimpembe and Varane. Hardly a duo to beat him down with
Not to split hairs but Kounde played as a RB in a group match after the French had qualified whereas Lenglet played at CB in the knockout stage.

I think it’s important to be fair and magnanimous here, and hope that he shatters both knees in a freak unicycle accident.

I don't like Kounde's body language in all those highlights from YT. Also his facial expression is a bit Martial-esque. And shit hairstyle :cautious:
Lacroix is not so overhyped which is good in some way. We have a bad luck with this type of players like Kounde. Lacroix is not too expensive and I doubt he is worse. As a ball playing centerback alongside Romero he would be good (y)
And the main difference is that he is a better athlete than Kounde.
So, Lacroix is a better option for us, IMO.

Great actress too btw :sneaky:

Kounde makes it clear he wants a CL club yet people are blaming Levy on Twitter. :ROFLMAO: I get it, he has failed in the past, but people can't blame him for this.

Twitter really is a cesspit. Everyone is an expert on everything. Everyone has an opinion about everything, and they always have to let you know.

Maybe Eugene Levy is returning for another American Pie film?!

What are the chances that he turns up at Chelsea, only to be greeted by John Terry (in a full Chelsea kit) saying "have you got a wife, can I meet her?", with a load of baying degenerates behind him smashing each other in their toothless, haggard faces with pint glasses....and says, f*ck this for a laugh (in a French accent), I'm signing for Spurs

It's not impossible, when you think about it...

The Levy hate is bloody ridiculous now. It's so unbalanced and ridiculous that even those who have a problem with things hes done (me included) are now fed up to death with it.

Spurs make acceptable offer to Sevilla, Kounde wants CL football. Spurs try to convince him and are told if no CL team comes in then he may change mind.

Chelsea the CL holders come in for him and he jumps at the chance to go.......... Oh Levy is a tight arsed bastard etc..... FFS people :(

As soon as he made his statement about wanting CL football then he was always going to be on the backburner for us as a "Let us know if you change your mind" possibility. I doubt very much that Fabio has lost a wink of sleep over this and it can hardly go against him that the lad didn't join us.
Lets lay the foundations of this rebuild first before we try and put the roof on. (y)

Agree , also maybe news about him lingered more as possibly being used a public bargaining tool/tactic regarding our priority CB romero

I think we need to be a little more humble, we are in the conference league so of course top players want the champions league and especially Real Madrid.. If things work out under Nuno we will be back in the Champions League next year so it would be much easier to convince players to stay long term.. if we are being used as a stepping stone by top young talent so be it as long as it moves our club forward and brings in funds to reinvest...
Well, those two years passed quickly. Kounde completely bypassed even having to play for us as a stepping stone. ?

And I thought I was being humble in my initial post? I’ve always been realistic and pragmatic about where we stand as a club. I also don’t mind great players gracing our stadium, even for a short period of time. However, I thought Paratici remit would be about building something that is successful in the long term. We just tried short term thinking (Bale and Jose), and it was a pretty mixed bag.

I have no doubt that if Chelsea are serious about Kounde they will land him but everyone is acting like they’ve signed him. Have I missed something?

We agreed a deal with Sevilla, Kounde didn't want to come.

Not their fault is it?

Thats not the point.... I doubt they will release Kounde to Chelsea until they agree a deal for his replacement so lets not help Chelsea if we have somewhere else to dump Sanchez.
