Barca’s issue is that they are miles above La Liga’s salary cap. Having more money does nothing to solve that. They have to shed vast amounts of salary before they can even register the players they have already “signed.”
It’s already confirmed that some of these money can be used to cover this problem. 15% of the total money can also be used for signing, so ap. 40 mill euros for new signings for Barcelona.

Messi is said to formally sign his contract (and be registered) tomorrow

Edit: and the big rumours coming out of Madrid is that this will get them Mbappé. Well, we’ll see about that…

Big financial news coming out from Spain today. La Liga has sold 10% of their rights to an investment company for 2.700 million euros. 90% or this money will be sent directly to the clubs, meaning Sevilla will get ap. 135 million euros in one big chunk one of the next few days. This also means that Barcelona (to recieve 270 mill euros) and Real Madrid (261 mill) are looking at a lot brighter economical situation (no more problem with the registration of Messi and the new signings and so on). Should affect quite alot of the european marked you’d think.

Ohh hopefully Madrid can buy Harry

Don't think that will affect Kounde's valuation. Would mean they are even more likely to reject Chelsea's bids, but seeing as they want Sanchez, could help us.
Kind of agree. Their MO is to buy cheap-ish and sell expensive. Selling Kounde this summer fits that idea nicely, but in now way will they be desperate now with this and the Gil money. Personally I think he’s lost for Spurs, but would love to be proven wrong!

If anything, I think it favours us: Seville can essentially say pay the release clause or he's not leaving while we can offer them Dav, who they want as a direct replacement and have already done good business with.

But only 15% amount can be used to reinforcement of the squads. The rest has to go to structural improvements at stadium and facilities(Marca.com). So this will not give these clubs any advantage.

Yes, I mentioned this in a later post. But 15% for signings is still more than nothing, and on top of this their salary caps will increase and, I guess, the rest of the money can be used to pay of stadium/facility related debt, or to fund future infrastructural costs. In total it will obviously help the overall financial situation for the spanish clubs even if the majority of the money will have to be used for infrastructure.

I can't believe they want Sanchez. You'd imagine they'd have asked Lamela about him? Must be lying through his back teeth! :ROFLMAO:

Don’t the majority of La Liga clubs have to agree on this still? Believe the same issue happened with Serie A and they turned it down after the league accepted.

I genuinely think that like Foyth, Sanchez will be far more comfortable in La Liga than the Prem.

Or at least that's what I'll be telling anyone associated to Sevilla who I happen to come in to contact with.

I'm sure Chelsea will have no problem finding the money if we get close to a deal...
Sevilla would raise the price.
I think a lot of people are missing the point that Sevilla have a deal that they were ready to go with if the player agreed, Chelsea then came in and upset their apple cart courted the player and then wouldn't meet the asking price, they are not Sevilla's favourite people at the moment.
I've said all along Sevilla want Sanchez and it would cost Chelsea an arm and a leg to get Kounde.

Was just about to post it. Yes, you’re correct, and the early signs are that Real Madrid are against the deal and Barcelona sceptical. I don’t know why.
Probably wise to await the conclutions a bit, but from what I gather, the deal is still expected to go through.

I don't disagree. I just think if Chelsea are presented with a choice of paying an 'arm and a leg' or losing him to Spurs then they will pay up. Right now they don't need to as the player doesn't want to join us.

I do wonder if the whole Kane saga is having a detrimental effect on Kounde's thinking.... even if he was tempted he must be thinking.... If i want to move on in 2 years time, will they hold me to ransom too ?
For the record as much as i dont like Levy.. he is correct in the handling of the Kane situation .
