"According to two Gelsenkirchen newspapers, Schalke are bracing themselves for a £17million offer from Tottenham which could go in within the next few days."

Oi, @Lufti , get your ass down here now.

Does Lufti even live in Gelsenkirchen?

Random transfer fee plucked out of the sky - check.

Potential selling club 'braced' for bid - check.

Trustworthy link - check.

'Leandro Damiao reporter' (one that doesn't exist) - check.

A clear lack of research done - check.

"In January there was the offer of Arsenal, but I decided to stay," Draxler told BBC Sport.

"I will do the same this summer. I want to play one year more in Schalke."

Baring in mind he has rejected Real Madrid and Man City too in the past, I wouldn't even raise an eyebrow at this to be honest I'm afraid. And no, London :)

Always amuses me when they say "bracing themselves" maybe they think A & C is the guy we send to do these deals

LOL so they turn down over £30m in January yet we're going to bid £17m?!
File this under Metro BS please

It's 99% BS but Arsenal signing Sanchez at least takes them out of the race.

Plus us rocking up with about half the previous offer sounds entirely feasible.

Yep, all £38m which I believe is his release clause.

He's undoubtedly talented but splashing out a large sum on a kid is damn risky and stupid when we have other more important areas that need addressing 1st.

Looks like one out of the random transfer rumour generator to me.

Would love us to pull off another Eriksen (highly rated youngster that has turned down big teams) but looks like utter BS.

17m for Draxler sure. We should also bid 20m for James Rodriguez and 30m for Messi.

(Although none of them are proven in premiership and would probably struggle to adapt ;))
