I thought he played pretty well last night, and like the rest of the players, he looks like he has been given a bit of belief and is better for it.

He will never be Berbatov, but he is starting to show what he is all about. I thought he won alot of ball in the air, held it up well and made himself available. Very similar to Modric, he is adjusting to a new and much faster league and will gradually improve.

What a difference a w few days can make!

I thought he played very well. He's still settling in, and learning the English game, but been impressed by his strength and holding up. With Pavlyuchenko though we need to make sure we get the numbers up to support him.

Please let's get Stoof's song for him going in the stands. To the tune of "Glory, Glory Hallelujah"

Nothing rhymes with Pavlyuchenko!

So we can't sing a song about him!

Classic!

He did look alot better last night, unfortunately we bought him after playing approx half a season in the russian league so he could burn out some time soon and need a rest, hopefully he can keep up performances like last night until at least January then we can look at bringing a bit more competition up front so we can keep all our strikers on there toes.

I don't think it suits Pav being up front on his own. I think Modric drops too deep for him. Got to give it to the lad though. his heart's in it.

Last night, away at Arsenal, probably the best footballing team in the league was always going to be tough for Pav. Our boys had to work very hard closing down etc.

That's fucking class. If I had a season ticket and was unfortunate enough to find myself alongside you and Stoof, I'd give you a hand getting that off the ground!

I thought he was poor, but to be honest I expected nothing more. He can't be blamed for being isolated. I just wish people would look at Pav's predicament and realise they gave Bent a load of stick wrongly at the beginning of the season.

Although he is still clearly getting to grips with the Prem, i think he has shown glimpses of what a top class player he can be.

also think that Pavlyuchenko's work rate has been impressive since he joined, especially considering he had already played a large chunk of the Russian season and Euro 2008,just hope he can keep his workrate up.

Nice shout out walworthyid - he played very well yesterday and although there are some concerns over his niggling injuries of late, i think he will become a very valuable player, i reckon he could be our version of Heskey - but with more goals to his name.

played well, obviously got little service but he held the ball up fantastically at times.

He was subbed at the right time as we did need that little bit more pace/mobility around the 60 minute mark.
