Just One Year

This was the team that took the field against Sunderland on August 11th 2007.

Robinson, Chimbonda, Gardner, Stalteri, Kaboul, Jenas, Zokora, Malbranque, Tainio, Berbatov, Keane.

What a difference a year makes. Eek
If us Spurs fans had been told then, that at the same time next year only three of that team would still be playing, we would have laughed them out of town. (Not counting Salty, Ramos doesn't)

Also I think a fair few would have said that Zokora and Berba wouldn't be among the 3 still at the club.

Its a good thing though, cos we were shit at the start of last season and we need a decent start this time around as last season the league was a write-off and it made being a Spurs fan pretty miserable at times.

this was posted the other week & to be fair we had a bit of a mare with injuries going into the new season which we don't appear to have now (touch wood)

Otherwise the lineup would've been more like:

Robinson, Chimbonda, Dawson, King, Bale, Malbranque, Zokora, Jenas, Lennon, Berbatov, Keane

I still expect 7 of those to play a big part next year.

yea me too, met up with a mate from school (sunderland fan) who I'd not seen in 5 years to go to it as well, didn't want to meet up with him after the game!

I went to that game.

I'd been out of the piss the previous lunch time and made my old man stop the car at Peterborough, coming from Ipswich, so I could be sick in the layby.

The game nearly made me sick again.

Hopefully we can get off to a better start this time around and not just the opening game but the first few games. After 11 league games last season we had just 1 win.... it shouldn't be too hard to beat that start.
