Has anybody seen this? Its confirms the rumours of January regarding Tiago, and says that he refused to move to us on a permanent basis, and that he is refusing to go on loan to Everton. Juve are apparently very upset with him.
Did we dodge a bullet?

21/08/2008 18:27 Juventus Run Out Of Patience With Tiago

Juventus transfer chief Alessio Secco is furious with Tiago after the midfielder refused a chance to move to Everton on loan.

The former Chelsea man has never managed to make an impact at Juve and was recently brandished a ‘flop’ by coach Claudio Ranieri.

Juve have been trying desperately to get rid of the unwanted player and a move to the Toffees was on the horizon. However, the Portuguese rejected the possibility of a return to England, leaving the Old Lady furious.

“We are not happy with Tiago as he has already refused to move in the past,” blasted Secco.

“In January, he was set to move to Tottenham permanently but he rejected that move. Then Everton wanted him and he refused that as well.

“His future is looking bleak and he has had his chance - that’s it now. He still has a contract and has a right to remain, but we hope he changes his mind.”

The Bianconeri have had enough of Tiago’s jig. The midfielder keeps moaning because he wants to leave but then he second thoughts when it’s time to move on.

Juve are running out of patience and the under-fire player is likely to spend the season on the bench once again if he doesn’t make a hasty exit.

I think we should still move Tiago he would be a good fit alongside Modric. And he would bring us extra quality in midfield.

There is word that he doesnt want to come back to England because he struggled for Chelsea, but then he seems to have struggled at Lyon and Juve. I didnt and dont want him so I'm not that bothered, he's a bit too average and it doesnt seem like he is really up for a challenge.

Perhaps he is happy to take Juve's wages because no one will match them. Juve only have themselves to blame if they get stuck with him.

He was good at Lyon, poor at Juve.

Dan Ashcroft mentioned that we nearly signed him in the last 3 days of the January window. Doesn't sound as though he was enamoured with England.

I would be seriously underwhelmed if we were to go back in for him, just as I was when we were interested in January. I'm no Jenas fanboy, but he is certainly not an upgrade in any sense for me on JJ. Very much a "jack of all trades, master of none" player IMO: not what we need at all.

Please tell me you're not serious.

After the way he fucked us about in January, no chance, thank goodness.
