As the article says "cheeky scamps" :) I'm pretty sure we'd have laughed if it had been the other way round just a little bit of fun no harm done.
The challenge now is to catch arsenal players.

And the picture has to be my cabinet one :)

And if it was a Yid and Adebayor and everyone thought it was hilarious, you'd be complaining that it was nothing more than a poor schoolboy prank. You can't please some people :)

No, I'd have raised a tiny smile for about half a second.

Woo. Hardly an insulting prank is it. Why are we so angry?

because he's an arsenal fan and it reminds us all of that gooner supporter in work or uni or school or who lives down the road who's a complete tosser. That's why it annoyed me anyway...

If it was a spurs fan doing it to adebayor you'd all be going "ZOMGZ YIDDOOOOOO ROFFLE LMFAO PSML ROLFCOPTER !!!ONEONEONEWONLOST"

This is true. And it'd be just as over the top as the actual reaction to what is, at best, a mildly amusing but totally unoriginal stunt.

Getting footballers to sign something that when unfolded or turned round makes them look silly is even older than putting shit players/clubs up for sale on eBay or 'imaginative' Wikipedia editing.

It annoys me when people from other countries who have a professional football league follow premiership teams. Don't get me wrong I live in Dublin and go to the lane twice year, but I have a season ticket for Shamrock Rovers and if they're playing at home I go watch them regardless if spurs are on the telly. The Eircom league in Ireland, which is not completely professional, is suffering because of poor attendances mainly due to the premiership and sky's coverage. I reckon those muppets probably spent over a weeks wages on those rags they're wearing. Money would have been better spent supporting their local teams or their shit national team!

When I read the title of this thread I thought Keano had hurt himself and required stitching. Something a doctor whom just happened to support Arsenal did for him

im from canada and live in the states but follow spurs and the epl because a) the mls is shit b) the coverage sucks c) the commentators are annoying assholes d) the epl is what got me into football

honestly if the mls crashed and burned today i wouldnt care. just cause i live in the US doesnt mean i should have to support the mls (especially when its such a messed up league)

You know in some ways I envy the MLS. It's wide open every season because of the whole draft system, but on the other hand, whats the point of working your arse off to be successful when the following season you get your pick of the shit thats left after everyone else has had their dibs. Thats how I understand it anyway.

And yeah, the ESPN commentators are bloody awful. Why cant they call a cross a cross? Why cant they call the byline the byline?

Hell, last time I watched it (a few years ago), one of them called Beckham quick. Thats when they confirmed to me they have no idea what they are talking about.

Sorry, but it just wasn't funny. I don't care if it was a spurs fan doing it to a gooner, it wasn't funny.

Feel free to direct your annoyance at me. I'm originally from Trinidad but I've been living in the US for the last 15 years (Florida then North Carolina) and I've been proudly following Spurs since 1982.

I actually did give MLS a shot in it's early years supporting the Miami Fusion.....until MLS thought it best to shut down all it's teams in Florida. I haven't been much interested in MLS since.

This gag should never have been repeated after Armando Ianucci caught OJ Simpson with it. That was it at it's best and since should be laid to rest with clingfilmed toilet seats and doing that annoying thing where you poke a chap in the chest and flick him on the chin when he looks down.

Yes in a perfect world everyone would support their local team. Then no league would have the benefit of extreme amounts of money being pumped into it, the football would be more even and transfer fees and wages would be a lot less than today. But we're on an express train in the opposite direction to that. Premier league and La Liga especially will just grow bigger, and the gap between the rich teams and poor will increase I fear, and that's mainly because of support from outside the UK.

How do you know they don't support their local team? I have a spurs top and still go support my local league of ireland team most weeks. And the reason why LoI gets poor attendances is the quality of matches ain't that good and it's not exactly a cheap night out either for some people.
