For some reason I still can't give up on this one. He's pissed off with Lazio and might just settle for us in the end. I'd take that, as long as he doesn't come with any easy release clauses.

Let Poch show him some love and then he'll forget about Juve
Levy will grow hair before he agrees to a release clause. Unless it's something ridiculous that Juve couldn't afford anyway

This one just won't go away will it. Pretty much all of the ITK's have claimed it is dead and buried, but the media keep resurrecting it. Admittedly we are often told the media are way way behind. Looking back at a previous comment by Trix (may not actually have been about Balde), but he stated that transfers that seemed lost, can come alive rapidly.
I'm wondering if Juve are going to move on, and Balde will be left hanging. If we're his only realistic option, then it could all do a U Turn, unless he's categorically stated he has no interest whatsoever, which was why JJ etc said it was dead.
Never say never, maybe if we still feel we're a pacy forward short going into the last couple of days, and Juve won't pay up, just maybe there's a deal there to be done.

Cutting the odds like that is an old bookie trick. They do it to make the mug punters think the bookie knows something and the punters pile in. Meanwhile the bookie laughs all the way to the bank. It has nothing to do with money which has gone on already, it is purely to attract money.
You have to question the ethics behind it though. It's not more than insider trading by my standards! How can a company that provides transfer news also take bets on transfers when it can manipulate the news.

I know- it's almost like allowing the Conservative party to be backed by nearly all the major print based media outlets

Hercules said yesterday or the day before that a deal that was dead may be back on.

Not quite
It was someone we thought we couldn't get and now it was possible

That's about Martial imo
I thought he said 2 forwards that their club want them to choose us but we'd only get one and we won't be a stepping stone so... why not both? (n)

We might be talking about different posts. I was talking about this....

"Seems he (Levy) is winning on targets we thought we lost out on."

And this...

"targets we thought had died a painful death has come alive again. A little hint; There are 2 specific forward players (we would take one) their club wants them to commit to us, but they are waiting to see if their choice will stump up the cash. One of the 2 would sign with a clause. We are not prepared to be anybody's stepping stone."

If love to know how far down the line we were with this guy.

I know JJ was confident. 83% confident to be accurate. Did he ever visit the training ground etc. Were personal terms ever agreed?

Was he open to coming here but Juventus was his ideal....

It sounded like we'd agreed a fee and personal terms but Juventus came in shortly after we'd agreed everything.

If he agreed terms with us before i'm not sure if he is the one that's trying to put a clause in the contract.... unless he thinks he can demand more now due to Juventus interest.
