I wouldn't call Swansea basically safe from relegation. It's the Premier League, anything can happen. 2 losses for Swansea and 2 wins for Hull and all of a sudden, it's a different story, Swansea with only 5 points away from the zone. Swansea could get a hiding from the Saints.

They're 10 points from probable safety and have faith that Gomis can step in. £30m is a lot of money for a club that was in league two less than a decade ago. You weigh up the risks and the risk of them going down is tiny. They have more than enough quality, it's not like their whole success was down to him, they have some great creativity in the side, that Icelandic lad looks quite good.

Thought Gomis was trying to force a move since Bony left? Has that settled down a bit?

Might well be, but they probably didn't forsee him being a dick about this. As they see it, they have a ready made replacement who has racked up 6 months PL experience and had done reasonably well in the games he's come into.

They would be mad to let Gomis go too.

My parents live opposite the new Swansea training ground (which is really impressive, not as good as the new Spurs Lodge but not too far off) and the rumour in Swansea is that a lot of the Bony money will go into paying for that and improvements to their academy, as Huw Jenkins views it as a more sustainable investment than splurging on a bunch of players.

He runs that club very well. Levy could learn a lot from him in terms of continuity of playing style despite managerial changes

You do seem to have that rather hilarious habit of disagreeing (rating) with fact. It's a habit that you share with other members too, so you're not alone. Can't you see that I didn't say that "they are 100% guaranteed to be relegated?" I said they could be and that is simply a mathematical fact I'm afraid, so I'm left wondering how it can be disagreed with.

I believe Mirallas would be quite a good replacement for lil Azza, but I really don't think Levy would pay big money to replace a 27yo with another 27 yo. Not much resale value in 3 years etc. Not going to happen IMO.

Levy s such a little baldy troll. :D
It's part of Daily Mail's Football Grapevine they do every Sunday, which is when they make up all sort of shit (more than they do already). For example, they're saying United might try to sign Hummels in the next 24 hours.

I think our interest was mostly based on when it appeared Lennon may head there, but if he did come he'd have to really ramp up his defensive contribution to meet the system's expectations.

I'm not convinced by this guy, don't think he'd vastly improve the first team.
