i dont think jol wouldve said that, hes made it all sound like he is the victim whilst at the same time stating hes a lazy fucker, usual football player ego issue coupled with not much upstairs in the brain department.

Really glad he's done so well in the WC. Should be able to make some serious cash out of that lazy twat.

It wasn't apparent that he was a playmaker in the number 10 mould when he was with us. I remember him playing defensive midfield (where he looked clumsy and ill at ease), and on the right side of midfield. Can anyone remember him being vocal about getting played out of position?

Yes.

KPB stated that he was an offensive midfielderand freely admitted he couldn't tackle for toffee...so why was he beig played as a defensive midfielder!

Yeah I remember this, he stated it on several occasions

But let me get this straight: Boateng didn't train when he first turned up because he thought he was Billy Big Bollocks, was put in his place, then still didn't train, because, y'know, what's the point? Seems like he just needs an excuse not to train

Yeah.

in fairness, I think he was exercising some of his own personal demons in saying this...kinda along the lines of "I was a pratt...BMJ didn't help matters...but, make no mistake, I was a lazy pratt (who deserved to get beaten up when living in London...apparentlyEek)".

Cool. Wish he'd said it in those words. Would have been even better

loved this article thanks for posting.

he obviously had a bad attitude and needed to be sold to realise that he needed to change his ways, becuase even if he had stayed at spurs and was played in the right position (ACM?), sounds like he would still have had problems with his attitude.

I thought we were hasty in selling KPB. True, shit attitude, but the kid needed guidance not dismissing.

For those who think he's not good enough etc... look how he ran the matches for Ghana with Anan. Would the Hudd have done the same?

And I'm not just saying this after but I to thought it wasnt a good idea selling Boateng. The question would Huddlestone been able to control games at the world cup...YES i believe international football is more suited to his game.

Jol had the right? Bollocks, it wasn't Boatengs fault either was it? Thats bad man management in my book. Jol didnt want him but the club signed him, he didnt have to play him unless he warranted a start.

But to tell a player you didn't want them finishes any chance of it every working out, before its started.

Did Jol want Carrick?
spot on  , bad man management from jol on this one.

Im sorry to say this but the more and more i hear people talk about his time at Spurs the more and more i get the feeling that Martin Jol was a bit of a prick.

*dons hard hat and hides behind a rock*

All I will say is that it wasn't all sweetness and light for sure...as for not wanting Boateng, he might not have necessarily wanted him but he was part of the committee who agreed to sign him. Harry has shown everyone how to use an entire squad, something Martin was incapable of doing...

Seems like he has changed now so I am glad the clean slate at Pompy has done him some good on a personal level, but I just wish he was the player he is now back when he was at Spurs.

Probably true.
But which "great" EPL players actually turned up and weren't injured?

KPB has done what any player would do in this position. It's his shop window.
When he goes off to wherever he gets sold to, he'll be exactly as average as he was anywhere else. (As someone correctly referred to El Hadj Diouf).

Best of luck to him.

PS. A few words from KPB can never change my view on the Big man Jol.
