Really? Is that any different to playing under Harry? Or Ramos?

Also - Jol said he didn't want KPB. Yet our DoF bought him. If Jol din't rate him, and KPB showed a big headed attitude in training (per princes own quotes) then why should Jol play him?

Every manager has his favourites, and some players can't hack it if they don't fit in.

Yep .

If the DOF spends that much money on a player then the coach is under pressure to play them .

Yet the coach is judged on results so must be given complete control over who is played .

Commoli was clearly an empire builder who wanted control over all aspects of the club including who was played .

The worrying thing is that Levy didn't do something about it until the squad had been dismantled and the club had one foot in the Championship .

I think the first part of your post offers some good suggestions as to why the DOF system was creating dissension at WHL.

As for the second part - I, for, one, cannot for the life of me see how 'Comolli' dismantled the squad. What I saw was that he built one with far better players in most positions, a young excting squad. Yeah, the man was flawed, and the squad needed filling out in certain vital areas - such as defensive midfield (and than God 'Arry resolved that so quickly).By 'dismantling' the squad do you mean Berbatov and Keane going? He was pretty powerless to stop either, but clearly wanted both to stay at the Lane. That isn't 'dismantling'. The final say on these things has to rest with Daniel Levy...why do people like you insist on blaming Comolli for everything that went wrong, and Levy for everything that went right...it just didn't work like that.

Anyone saying Comolli was a failure should look at the sort of signings we made before he came and after. He definitely set us on the right track with signings IMO.

I agree - he did very well.
