ledley was majestic, immense, and nearly our hero today. he proved once again why he's an automatic selection if he's fit to play, with or without training. but with 3 in the final week of the season, what do you do? do you play him against 2 of the 3, against opponents we should handle without him? or do you save him for tevez, adebayor, and man city, in what could be one of the biggest matches in our club's recent history, but only get one more match out of him?

i say daws-bassong against bolton and burnley and king ledley at the eastlands.

King has to play against Man City, no question!

Dawson and Bassong should be strong enough to nullify the threat posed by Davies and Klasnic.

Agree, save the King for City - clearly man of the match against United.
Bassong is also quality and shouldn't have problems with Bolton and Burnley

Can only ever be in awe of King. As is every match commentator it seems to me.
Amusing in the stream I was watching - when Bale went down rubbing his knee the commentator said "King comes over to show Bale what an injured knee really looks like and tell him to get up."

King, what a player, what a character, what a football legend, no words can describe the praise I have for this man. I thought he was our best player today, although I could see that his knees have affected his game quite a bit, his speed has dropped down. Why don't they just give him a year or two of a break to let his knees heal up, see if they can transplant some cartilage there. If he recovers he will be 31 and will still have 3-4 more years to play, If not he will still be able to walk and not end up on a wheel chair?

I just want him to be with the team all the time including training albeit with lower pace than having him for the odd game when he looks strange for the rest of the team. They just can't use him like that just ain't right.
