Let's hope he's fully on the mend. An injury like this can leave a mark mentally too, hopefully he's not too cautious when he's back.

I hope he comes back fully healthy but he is nothing special. A squad player. Not going to transform us in to top four material.

Effective full-backs who push up were one of the important elements of Poch's Soton team so I think somebody like Walker will actually make a big difference. Think you're doing him a dis-service there to be honest.

Also the present R.B's Spurs have been starting are not even at the level of "squad players"really; so the likes of Walker represent a real step-up.

Good news. We have chopped and changed at full-back and really need some continuity in a back four that should contain Davies, walker and vertonghen IMO.

Walker is not a squad player! He is an England international with absolutely buckets of pace. Yes he has a rick in him but his recovery pace and work ethic puts him a class above anyone else we have. Can't wait to have him back.

Total rubbish.

He is one of our most consistent players and a character/leader. Can't wait to have him back in the team.

Looks like he'll be ready precisely when Yedlin's plane touches down. We'll go from 1 'real' RB to 3 over-night. Will be glad to have him back though since he fits the Poch template very well.

Funny enough with him in the team we managed to two top 4 finishes in the last 5 seasons. He was injured for a large chunk last season so you could say 2 of the last 4 he has played in fully. A vital part of our team and system, Naughton and Dier have done ok but Walker is a massive step up.

As the majority have stated he is a better all round right back than those filling in now. His asset is no doubt his pace, and he has a good combination / understanding with Lennon, and will probably be a better partner for Lamela. Will play with passion and surely is a perfect fit for the "philosophy". COYS.

A pointlessly mean-spirited comment. Whether or not they transform us into top four material I don't know, but he and Yedlin will make a difference to our attack.

Kyle Walker has great pace, commitment, courage and always gives everything.
He certainly has the stamina required by our new style of play and hopefully his high-activity style will inspire those around him even further, as well as lifting our crowd too.
At just 24 Kyle is still not the complete full back but he has time to hopefully go on to become a great full back.
I'm delighted Kyle is back. He will contribute towards what our manager requires - MENTALITY

He's also handy for the odd goal here and there. Another freekick taker if I'm correct.

Corluka. Walker didn't play in our first team squad until 2011-12.

Its a shame that being out so long has slowed his development somewhat. Lets hope he can make up for lost time when he is fully fit.

He is another weapon in the armoury though that we miss when it isn't there.
