Watching him for England, he already felt like he belonged to another team. You can just feel the relationship is done here.

You can't blame him for wanting to play for Guardiola and doubling his wages even if the timing is shit when you consider how bright our horizons are. But this is probably his last big contact, given his age and form.

Oh well, thanks for the effort Kyle. Hope you finish below us wherever you go.

I have assumed he is gone for a while now but he is not making a fuss and keeping his counsel while we sort out our replacement or other targets, respect for that.

It is a shame if he goes, as he's been associated with us for soo long, but, if it was Danny Rose going, I would be in complete meltdown tbf.

I agree. It's a lot like Bale. I think we all kind of knew all along he was gone.

THeres an itk on Bluemoon (Mattyb) who said this morning the KW's agent was on the train, followed by this...

I've been told for the past few weeks there is already and agreement in place mate.

He's a shady one though Daniel Levy, I've actually dealt with him in the past in my line of work, and I don't trust him at all.

The reports of the price going up seemed to hit the news when we issued our list of released players... 2 being right backs!

Looks positive though fella

@dovahkiin it my dirt!!

The thing is, Liverpool probably thought they had an agreement in place for Van Dijk, Southampton obviously didn't agree. Heard the same about Lukaku, don't think that's a cert either.

Have we ever sold to City since they were bought out? If not they are in for a treat with Levy. He will rightly want them to pay through the nose.

Sounds like the club aren't averse to letting him go so I do think the deal will be done. In which case sooner is probably better than later. Never like selling to PL rivals though...

The trouble is, he will improve City though!

That's my only issue here.

Poch will know what's best for the squad, Levy will do his thing but all considered we'd still be selling the best right back in the league to a rival. Even if we find an equal quality replacement for day 1, City will be a better as a result.

I'm honestly not sure that he will. Lots of our players are system players. It's why so many struggle when they play for England. They are not necessarily outstanding but rather Pochettino has found a way to extract the best from each of them. I think the collective spirit has played a big part in that and removed from that environment Walker strikes me as the kind of player that would let a massive transfer fee go to his head.

To summarise then.

Walker's on his bike.
His agent's on the train.
Levy's in the driving seat.

Which is fine by me as long as our coach is happy.

I'm not sure what the allure for defender is playing for Guardiola to be honest and in KW's case I think the main allure probably a better chance of winning trophies sooner at City than with us and a bigger wage. Also I can't say I feel Guardiola is head and shoulders better than Poch either tbh. I may have said that he was better coach with better proven track record than Poch before last season but right now I really do feel his record is under pressure.

Ask Dani Alves, Philip Lahm and David Alaba..

This should go into some sort of hypothetical thread but does anyone else get the impression we're angling for Iheanacho plus enough cash to match the buy out for Pereira? Apparently City want 25m for Iheanacho and the Pereira buy out is a similar amount which would value Walker at 50m - seems about right IMO and kills 2 birds with one stone.

Now if we could just find a way of offloading Sissoko to Monaco for Lamar......

Agents still do trains ? Fly up surely ?
2 hour first class train journey. More hassle to get there by plane tbh.

Edit - *From London. His agent might live in Stockport though!

With the best will in the world, and I am fond of Walker, we really ought not to mention him in the same breath as Lahm and Alves:)

Didn't he play Lahm in midfield?

And Dani Alves was a literally a game changing, match winning right back when he was at Seville.

Yeah he did regarding Lahm but the point is he still improved them not to mention Rafinha as well. I don't see what there is to argue really.
