Strangely wasn’t called up to the Japan squad for the Qatar World Cup. But then the Japan manager also had Mitoma on the bench most of the time
In my head, your name is actually Ross, so I'm going to run with it. Another sensible and informative couple of posts from you. Your postings always bring a much needed bit of sanity to the place. Thanks, Ross
Kyogo could definitely be an asset to the squad. Full of energy, presses from the front and gets himself in to great positions in and around the box. Very hard for defenders to pick up.
I wouldn’t expect him to hit Kane/Haaland numbers but will certainly put some away if the chances are presented.
The 3 players probably we will get linked too from Celtic are Kyogo, Dazin and McGregor.
Dazin has a great workrate, something we have missed since lamela has gone and has pace also.

Tbf, I live in Edinburgh and the SPFL is a market that is rightly scoffed at. I've got a season ticket at Hibs and the standard of the league outside the Old Firm is as low as I can remember.Need to stop scoffing at certain markets.
Football is significantly improving in many countries and that means more talent comes through.
Brighton have the South American market and they themselves picked up Mitoma.
We looked at Min Jae a lot and he's gone onto become a superb CB.
Kvarastkhelia too and other Georgian players coming through.
Hopefully we can start to tap into some of these as well as young British talent.
Id sign a quality CB and GK and then look to these markets
As another Edinburgh based Spurs (but one who watches the right team here ) can confirm Kyogo isn’t of the standard we should be looking at.Tbf, I live in Edinburgh and the SPFL is a market that is rightly scoffed at. Kyogo is miles off a PL player. He was left out of the Japan World Cup squad because he lacks physicality which would be a huge problem for him. He works hard but struggles with his back to goal.
It's worth remembering that Odsonne Eduoard absolutely ripped the SPFL for 3 years and he can't get in the Palace team, and he's a better player than Kyogo.
Add to that, I can't see Levy stumping up a big fee for a 28 yr old whose main success has been in the SPFL.
Maeda works hard but is a bit lacking in quality too many times in order to take the step up.The 3 players probably we will get linked too from Celtic are Kyogo, Dazin and McGregor.

True but I wasn't necessarily talking about taking players from the SPL.Tbf, I live in Edinburgh and the SPFL is a market that is rightly scoffed at. I've got a season ticket at Hibs and the standard of the league outside the Old Firm is as low as I can remember.

I think Mourinho made it clear we were trying for Kim Min Jae and levy wouldn't pay the moneyNeed to stop scoffing at certain markets.

I guess Levy thought it was too riskyI think Mourinho made it clear we were trying for Kim Min Jae and levy wouldn't pay the money
He’s got an excellent network there and has been able to get players of a suitable standard for the level he was managing at.just checked Celtic's squad, they have so many players from J1 League. I wonder if the appointment of Ange would bring us the scouting network in Japan
