Madrid draw 1-1 with Valencia, Bilbao lose 3-5 at home to Betis (ouch). Barca are 4-1 up vs Real Sociedad at half time...

Real started with Lass next to Alonso in midfield, not sure where Khedira was but I can definitely see why they want Modric.

Was at Camp Nou last night to watch Barca beat Real in Spanish Supercup with over 70% possession, cannot see this new Barca coach having any trouble settling in at all and I expect them to win La Liga and CL this season

Yea Valdes better learn his limits though. In the space of 1 min casillas showed why he's Spain's no1 and Valdes isn't.

Usual two horse race but think it will go down to the wire.
Too many weak teams for RM and Barca to beat to open up a big lead from either club.
Hoping to see a bit of Modric this season at the Bernabeu.
Aren't Malaga having financial problems?

Osasuna were so unlucky not to beat Barca yesterday. They pressed Barca like I've never seen any team do and made Barca look ordinary. The way Barca's equalised really killed them.

Madrid have looked like a team of individuals so far and Casillas has been very dodgy (with the odd great save thrown in).

Didn't see the Barca game but this doesn't surprise me, the few teams that have pressed them all over really unsettled them, but they all (inc Real Madrid) ran out of steam and Barca came through. Portugal did the same in the Euro's to Spain, it really got to them because they're not used to it.

Falcao hattrick, from the spot. Feel sorry for Bilbao.

Bilbao seem in a bit of trouble already this season

Yeah, makes our start seem plain sailing. Hope they pull it together because they were one of the stories of last season, especially the way they dispatched Utd in the EL. Would love to meet them this year in it, would definitely travel out to San Mames 'cause it sounds amazing.

I saw (briefly) on Twitter that Bilbao were signing Benat from Betis, would be a good signing.

Osasuna didn't/weren't running out of steam which was the impessive bit. Don't know if you saw the equalisier but I don't think we would even get that amount of bad luck in a minute. Left them deflated, a man down and the only surprise was they didn't concede more.
