I think he is benefiting from the tired legs of the opposition, particularly those that were keeping tabs on Lucas this evening. I think our attacking options are pretty decent regardless of who starts.
As much as I love the guy, I am beginning to think more along the same lines. I think Erik has more impact on a game as a sub, as opposed to a starter. Time will tell, but that is my observations.impact sub, I rest mine
impact sub, I rest mine
And personaly I thought he was one of our brightest attacking players against Inter, a game in which he started. Was he perfect, no not at all, but he was integral to what little positive attacking play we had going. People are so quick to jump on his back sometimes, one has to remember he hardly had a pre season and got injured again after one game. At the moment he has earned the right to start more then one PL game in a row without being dropped if his performance isn’t anything other then MOTM worthy. Yes he may end up being a super sub, but at the moment he is doing enough to warrant a shot at being a starter again.People can say he's benefiting from tired legs but my opinion is that Eriksen has looked pretty poor all season and Lamela is taking his chance every single time and he deserves that to be rewarded. If he doesn't do the business when starting then he's one hell of an impact sub but he deserve to be in that first 11 for the next league game.
Amazing what fresh legs can do... It even clouds one's judgement.
Poch always rotates and i like having an impact sub from the bench. We have really lacked someone who can change the game coming on. I wouldn’t mind if Lamela can be our “Super Sub”.
He will get his starts and just have to take the chance when he gets them. Maybe start him for a couple of games. Poch gave him a chance to start against Inter and he was really poor. Poch yelled at him a lot, probably why he didn’t start against Brighton.
Lamela needs to win the position when he starts, otherwise Poch will just keep him as a super sub. Not much else to say.
He definitely wasn’t really poor.Poch gave him a chance to start against Inter and he was really poor.
He definitely wasn’t really poor.
