Does that mean we should regard a tap in from a player in a team like Worcester to be amazing?Fucking hell mate. He plays for Worcester. Lamela cost 30m. Tough fucking crowd!

Racist.Lighten up bud.
Lamela is one of the few players that seems to press, harry and yet never seem to force a mistake and instead usually gives away a free kick. That's not smart pressing, that's running abaaat a bit.
I know this is a joke, but sadly that's what many of our fans think.
As soon as Lamela came on the performance became chaotic. He's just not for Spurs or English football, needs to be sold as a matter of urgency.
That should've played into our hands. He couldn't hold/utilise posession with 2 players backNothing to do with Everton piling forward in the final part of the game to try and get something from the game?
Oh the boo boys, where even when Solado scores they need to find their second favourite target, who wasn't even on the pitch for the majority of the game. Just proves that some fans prefer to boo than to cheer, so rather than revel in victory they would prefer to come on to the forum and spend far more of their time trashing a player who only had a short cameo.
He is definatlely the new jenas even the basic rudiments of the game like which direction to run in allude himYeah and what? You know who else has really been crap this season...Jenas.
Just because he doesn't start there doesn't detract from my point..He didn't start as a 10 though? If Dier can out pace people that way surely Lamela can?

Look at the title of the thread.Oh the boo boys, where even when Solado scores they need to find their second favourite target, who wasn't even on the pitch for the majority of the game. Lamela's was better. That player has time to control the ball and his rabona was a bit shit.
Could that be because he was the only one pressing, so the opposition player had lots of options, meaning Lamela was more inclined to make a challenge (that he was unlikely to win) so not to waste the effort? Pressing and harrying only works if several players do it in unison, as the other players have to close down the options.Lamela is one of the few players that seems to press, harry and yet never seem to force a mistake and instead usually gives away a free kick. That's not smart pressing, that's running abaaat a bit.
Think about it on a simpler level- what's more difficult: Controlling the ball and then shooting from long range or having a long shot first time without controlling the ball.No way, Lamela's already had the speed on it from the ball, that guy's shot was technically harder - to get the perfect lob over the keeper like that was impressive
Thought Kane set up one of our goals with his pressing on sunday.Lamela is one of the few players that seems to press, harry and yet never seem to force a mistake and instead usually gives away a free kick. That's not smart pressing, that's running abaaat a bit.
