Lautaro Martinez deal in the pipeline
Journalist Dean Jones believes Tottenham have a deal in place to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez should England captain Harry Kane leave the club for Manchester City this summer.

football.london revealed recently that Spurs had a fee of over €60million (£51.2million) agreed with the Serie A side for Martinez, but that was before Inter sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for a club record £97.5million.

Kane has been the subject of intense speculation this summer with Pep Guardiola's club the prime candidates hoping to entice the 28-year-old away from north London.

"I do wonder if that is all ready to go if Kane goes," Jones said
"They've been an admirer of him for two or three years, and the plan leading into this was always that 'if Kane goes we're going to get Martinez' - that's what I've always been told."

I have no idea who Dean Jones is hahahhah

"Believing" and "wondering" are two different things.

That was the old one. The new one is somewhere between 90-100m euros.

Can only find a single source that states it's around 90m, and it doesn't seem that trustworthy. Most papers seem to conclude that the release clause didn't change much, if at all, compared to his previous contract. If you do find a trustworthy source that state it's now 90m, please share it.

I still think Rafa Mir is one to watch. Spanish Olympics team striker, Jorge Mendes client, contracted to Wolves but on the move. Originally rumoured to be who Atletico were after.
Sure there was some talk that Mendes would be indirectly involved in facilitating some deals that affected us. If he gets Mir to Atletico, then it gives us a clearer run at Vlahovic.

There is really no point in taking any notice of anything on Football.London unless it's written by Alasdair Gold

There’s a number of promising forwards that we could look at as alternatives to Lautaro or Vlahovic either on loan or perm. Here’s an non-exhaustive list that I believe we could attract - most are young other than the last 2 and a few have been linked with us in the past:

Amine Gouiri
Youssef En-Nesyri
Alexander Isak
Jonathan David
Silas Katompa Mvumpa (formerly Wamangituka)
Ollie Watkins
Dominic Calvert Lewin
Ivan Toney
Joaquin Correa
Patrik Schick
Marcus Thuram
Adam Hlozek
Sekou Koita
Karim Adeyemi
Gianluca Scamacca
Matias Arezo
Gabriel Barbosa
Matheus Cunha
Gabriel Veron
Giacomo Raspadori
Luka Jovic
Rafa Mir
Domenico Berardi
Lorenzo Insigne

Truth is there are options out there but Martinez and Vlahovic would probably be in the upper echelon of targets.

Keep saying it but Kyogo Furuhashi…even though I’ve recently been told he’s 26
