Jones did look a great prospect at Blackburn. He could come good.

I assume they asked him this as he was leaving a club on a Saturday night, out of his head.

England aren't on the verge of a golden generation in regards to any position.

Think England has a few young talents, but will they turn into world class stars that is a different issue.

Problem i have with articles like this is that they pick someone, like our monarch there, who now work as an ambassador for the club and so many causes besides, so he's in that positive mindset where he has to be optimistic about everything - not like 25 years ago where you'd have had the news interview some 60 year old ex player, who'd quite confidently call them a "shower of bastards" or "hopeless, absolutely bloody hopeless".

Ledders is too nice a guy to shoot from the hip - if there is even the vaguest chance that things might come good for this current crop of internationals then he's going to say the futures bright.

Interview a bitter, elderly, out of work manager, lets see some brazen honesty! (y)

He was a centre-back at Blackburn, United have rarely played him there until LVG took the reigns, now he seems to be one of a back 3, which he'll need to adjust to.

I agree he could come good if he settles in the position where he has historically done his best work.
