I hope that was meant as a joke. If it wasn't, I actually hate you now. If it was, well, be careful with your jokes next time.

Flatters, to clarify, he was shit by his very own high standards.

Apologies, did not mean to blaspheme

It means Ledley is by no means as badly injured as the doom-mongers, liars and Graham "Today Talksport listeners, Ledley King told me he was retiring at the end of the season, I promise" Roberts would have you believe, but that he needs to be managed on a week-by-week basis so he plays in the most important games.

In the less important/easier games, Dawson or Corluka can do a perfectly good job in his stead if they have Jonathan "Am I the best defender in the world ever, ever? Bobbins of SC certainly thinks so" Woodgate alongside them.

Ledley is simply proving every week that the lies of the last two years are finally behind him. McGrath played for years with a managed condition, and it's clearly what they're doing for Ledley. If he can play 30-35 games a season, we'll have our real Ledley back.

Thats a joke right...??

You can't use the word "shit" when referring to Ledley though. Ever. You should really know this.

And you can't drop Ledley. That just makes no sense at all. Ever. Ever ever. Ever ever ever. He's still the best player in the world even when he's, as you say, shit. He must have been rested. Not to make sure he was fine for last night's game. Just to make sure that he didn't get properly injured against Wigan had he played.

I hope that Ledley's colleagues that have to muck in with him (or not) as each match comes along and Ledders is de-iced, collate outside Ramos' door and demand a replacement for him. Someone who will be considered a regular, is authoritive, and does not have a horrific injury record that precludes him from playing under just 200 games in eight years, or 25 games a season, in a good season.

I hope they're all just delighted to be at the same club as him.

Poyet said in post match interview on bbc site that we cant play ledley twice in 3 days, that they need to manage him, or something like that. given the high number of games seems we'll at best play him once a week, and those games will be picked and chosen. Id love Ledley to play every week, but itd rather him play every 2nd game than play the next 8 in a row, and then be crocked again for 2 months.

my bet is management looked at our run of games, saw the toon match and the uefa qualifiers sandwiched between the league games and basically decided leds will play the midweekers.

if we happen to get knocked out of cups and our matches reduce to 1 a week in general, we'll start to see him every match.

Well he's back and improving, which is the main thing.
I suppose it is only 3 more wins and a Euro place, but I would like to finish as high as poss and have a good UEFA run, even if we went trophyless (or Arse-nil as it is known in the trade)

It is depressing how we save our 'best player' for the fucking Carling Cup isn't it? Under Jol this shit would have never happened.

Who is this Jol and why do you want his babies so much? Do you actually support Spurs or what? I've noticed that all your comments are completely negative and wonder why you bother!!:shake:

Ramos is no fool. he's been sold-out in the transfer window, and he knows that we have to win a cup to get into Europe. I think he'll make it happen. And I think we'll finish mid-table. In fact, I would not be surprised to see the jan window designed to win the FA Cup...

As for Ledders, the biggest issue I think will be to keep HIM onside, interested and not depressed. he's at an age where he realizes what his career could've been were he not so unlucky with injuries...

i think he will be a McGrath situation for sure...

Oh please, for the love of god stop it. It's getting boring now.
This is the same Carling Cup that means we are in European competition this season. You DO realise this yes?
Your Ramos baiting is getting quite puerile now mate, how about you get behind the team? Ramos is here, Jol isn't. I'm not particularly impressed with Ramos either so far, but he is our manager so he gets my support. That's how it works right?

A little constructive comment in your posts rather than the same old bile wouldn't go amiss either.

And to stay on topic. I think Jol would have treated the situation exactly the same way, which happens to be the right way. imo.

There is reason, Tuck, that our esteemed colleague Bakez has the worst neg rep of any forum in history. You kinda have to learn not to rise to the bait. It's tough but you can do it. I think he is actually either Jol's secret love child or, perhaps, Big MJ himself in disguise as every post he makes refers to Jol.

To get back on track re. Ledders, I am starting to think that Corluka is going to be his replacement when Hutton gets back. After that I really don't think we are gonna see much of Ledders other than some key matches that may require strong leadership.

look Flatters I would like to think that in this club we can affored to drop everyone, thats the way it should be. King struggled in that europian game, however my Newcastle freind was going on about how amazing King was against them. Wigan was a game where I would of not played ledley (even if fit) because we know they are a phisical side and Corluka and Woodgate are both more phisical then King, also we played that game with Zok. and BAE on the flanks and they should cover if they beat us with speed.

Having said that, bar maybe Modric (faaaaaaaaaaaaaar to early to tell) King is are best player

What's all this nonsense about not playing Ledley because Wigan are physical? Woody is more "hands on", let's say, than Ledley, but Ledley can handle a physical striker as well as anyone, normally better than anyone.

Bar maybe Modric? Why? Then you go on to say it's far too early to tell... you might as well include all our new signings then, surely.

Im basing on reputation and on the 10ish games Ive seen him play not in a spurs shirt. I think he at the current time may be better then Modric, but canot tell how the prem and him will mix. Bentley and Gio arnt at that level although thaey have potential. King is certainly are most important player, and arguebly are best.

What I ment was keeping Kings injury recored in mind, and having to regain full fitness. Yes I think you right in saying Woody is more hands on but I think thats what you need against Heskey lets say. Daws and King used to work so well 'cos King used to mark the more skillfull player while Daws went for the more phisical player

King was shit against wisla though, to be fair

It isn't fair. He was some way below his best. He looked mortal. He wasn't the Ledley who gave Robben several yards' start and still ran him down. That doesn't make him shit. It makes him numerous cuts above the dickbrains the Barcodes had at CB last night, who succeeded in making Buzz look a pretty solid choice. (And I've seen posts on here suggesting we should sign one or both of them.)

It's not an ideal situation, by any means, but Charlie actually looks as if he can step in alongside Woody and not have you wondering when the fuck-up's going to happen, as you do/did with Daws, Youseless or Big Tone.

Ledley IS the KING. (Not some fat old bloke in a white jump suit)
He is coming back and when he is back up to match speed there is NOONE in the world I'd rather have at CB, including that overrated clown Rio.

He doesn't look like he can last a game at the moment. He made a few bad slips during the second half of the Newcastle match. Which is slightly concerning. But not that concerning.

Ledley King is a world class defender and him being at 65% is good enough for us considering what we have in the squad.

It does look like King may have to adjust his game a bit like Michael Owen has and play at a certain level depending on the games. but I'm sure if need be and more strength is built up he is capable to extend himself.

Can't understand were all this King "was crap" talk is coming from. Do those said people want Dawson back in defence?
