Leeds loan for Spence

Djed Spence has joined Leeds United on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season. Having joined us from Middlesbrough in July, 2022, the right-back has made six appearances in our colours to date.

Probably are mate he's only been loaned out and we go through managers like water. Let's hope he doesn't make a fool of himself at Leeds.

Best for everyone, if he has a decent season we’ll get some proper money for him.

This is a good solution. I've no idea why he signed for us. But Leeds is a good level and it'll be interesting to see if he's a first teamer and plays a full season there. This is what he needs if he's going to make it at a high level. And we get that type of performance data we need. As long as they're paying his salary, it's a win-win-win.

And at some point late in this season, Porro or Royal might be a wantaway full back. We've got 35 league games a one cup game left
If there's a clear first team player and a back-up among those two, the one lacking minutes might want pastures new. We'll have the planning insurance of seeing how Spence is getting on.

I'm very surprised a prem side haven't taken him. That would have been the natural next step for him, and would have been a better shop window. He's already proved that he's a good Championship player.
