Did anybody else notice that, when the guy went to take the corner (from which they scored), he seemed to be bleeding from his forearm and just wiped in on the front of his shirt? The Linesman picked him up on it, looked at it and let him carry on. He shouldn't have been allowed to carry on until it was sorted and thus would not have been allowed to take the corner, who knows what would have happened then.

A poor bit of officiating in my opinion!

Can you guys tell me if their goal was offside? looked it on the big screen when they showed a replay but none of the reports are mentioning it?

There was 4 offside at one point but ITV so wanted a Leeds win they were going on about 2nd stage and all that stuff but even my mum said the ref and linesmen..should have gone to spec savers.

Wellspurs, I think anywhere you will get some nobheads kicking off, but Leeds is not hospitable for away fans at all really. Especially on nights like this where their fans will have a big inferiority complex.

Went to the game tonight, just got back to my Dad's now after a few beers with my Leeds supporting mates. Unfortunatley I was sat with the Leeds fans to the left of our support, kept my mouth shut except for the final goal but by that point most of the Leeds fans were leaving. Any that were still there were giving abuse to the ones leaving and didnt care about me.

Didn't get to the ground til 8pm due to mass hold ups outside the ground.

Cracking result, well done Bentley!

Yeah, looooads of people still outside, surprised they didn't delay ko... any idea why the traffic was so bad? Is that normal? Or was it just cos it was their first sell out in a while? Motorway blocked?

Their goal wasn't offside. The player who took the shot was onside and the other players were onside when the shot was taken. Our defenders were asleep through most of the match it seemed, we were happy to let balls bounce in the box.

Defoe did well although he really should have scored 4 at least! Bentley made a decent assist and one poor one and seemed to inhibit our counter-attacks but apparently he's MOTM!

No highlights? I guess there aren't enough games to justify it.

I just walked pretty much all the way home, bar jumping on a bus for the last stretch.

I got directed onto an industrial estate where there was loads of things kicking off and missiles being thrown away from the police. Head down, walk very fast

Leeds.

It's faaaaantastic.

Their players never got back to an onside position, Bechio was always ahead of all our outfield players, they were behind the ball when Beckford shot but they gained their position from the first ball in so same phase of play, fortunately with the benefit of doubt going Leeds way all night we still got the result.

I live in Paris and can't watch the highlights & post match interviews on the ITV site as it's for UK only...

Is there a download somewhere for both ? It would be great.

Thanks!

What exactly is a poor assist then?

You can roll your fucking eyes all you like, but the bottom line is, if we play anywhere near our full potential, we will take Leeds apart. I'm as confident of us winning as you are of us getting beat, simple as.

coys

still think we could bottle it though

As always, we need two clear goals. We need a third. Or a fourth..

Its happening again Leeds are going into hyperdrive

all I can say is PHEW

4 added mins.....come on

4 mins added time

Why are our players getting into the habit of wasting attacking set-pieces by pissing about in the corners trying to run down the clock!? We should be trying to kill the game off not trying to protect a slender lead.

NNNnnnnooooooooooooo

come on! this is so stressful

Yessssssssss

Defoe hattrick! Hurrah!

Defoe's 20th of the season?
As you can see, this game played out pretty much as I thought, maybe as we all thoght, I don't know - There were a few who thought we were just going to go up to Leeds and batter them, play them off the park!

For me, this match was very much like the first match, the difference, WE got the luck this time! Yes we had possession, but so did we in the first game, yes we had more shots more of the ball, but same old story, we found it hard to kill of a team, and I don't know about you lot, but when I saw the 4 minuets go up, I was think shit, not again, and then when they had that free kick in the last min of time, I was standing behind the couch screaming, please NO, not again!

But we did it this time, and I am very glad, I am please for Defoe who really needed goals, and I am pleased for Bentley who looked very good tonight.

Overall a good team performance, but lets face it lads, even at 93 minuets you felt that Leeds just might do it again, and that my friends was what I was talking about earlier in the day.

Good win, :clap:now lets take this into Villa at the weekend!

How much would you have on we loose to a single goal in injury time......don't bother switching on the telly till about 10!

Think this will be a tough classic FA cup tie, there is no way we are going to go up to Leeds and "tonk" them as one person said - now we do have a good team, skilful and all that, but do players like Modric, Bassong, Defoe, Bentley, Bale,Crouch, Huddleston have the bottle or the stomach for this kind of game.....I think not.

We will loose but it could go all the way, should be edge of your seat stuff.

I thought we won? unless you are now saying you are a leeds fan

I was actually more relaxed than i thought i would be. Even at 2-1 and in the closing minutes. I couldn't see Leeds winning the game. Even had it gone to 2-2 i would have expected us to win. We were all over them from start to finish. Leeds were poor going forward, rarely tested Gomes. Their big centre back and keeper played well for them, but nobody else really impressed me for them. We were unlucky not to score more tbh. But i was expecting a much tougher test last night.

Wexford. No.

The game was played out exactly like I thought. We went to Elland Road, got it down and played comfortably.

Aside from the 10 mins between our goal and half time, we were all over them and it should've been 6 or 7 but for some very good goalkeeping again.

Even Leeds fans admit that we were easily a class above. Yes they got in our faces a bit, but they could not compete on footballing terms.

It wasn't good goalkeeping, it was just shots right at him.

Although to be fair he did make one decent save from a bale cross that defelcted of his own defender, however, it was bad positioning from the keeper in the first place.

Not a great keeper at all, our attack made him look way better than he was.

We were parked on the right of the stadium, it was nasty mate, all the Leeds fans seemed to wait at the bottom of Elland Road and then come back at us once the Police had let us through, luckily think the Police knew this was going to happen and were able to come down and block it off again but there was objects flying everywhere. Not nice at all, by time I reached the car 1hr 1/2 after the final whistle, I'd forgotten all about the game.

Seems like history repeating itself.

I was at the cup match way back in 1972 when we lost - Jack Longneck Charlton scored - After the match we left the stadium and just a few minutes from the ground was a slum clearance site, mountains of bricks and derelict houses. The Leeds fans were on top of these and pelted us while the Leeds cops hemmed us in. I was lucky in as much as a brick hit a wall first and then bounced onto my chest, I then ran but got tangled up in a open coal hole. A cop then thumped me one and told me to "Fuck off back to London you cockney bastard"
