lennon seems to be held in high regard on these forums, alot of members seem to value his contribution in matches.

i, for one, do not.

fair enough he has pace and skill, but he is a very rare thing in a footballer, he cannot kick a ball. he can't cross, he can't shoot, heck he can't even pass. full backs are not scared of him because they know if he does beat them he will do nothing with the ball anyway.

i was watching the game tonight with some non-spurs fans who turned to me at one point and simply said "lennon is so shit".

lennon shouldn't be playing for us, and so far neither should bentley. in my opinion dos santos should start on the right for spurs, at least for the next few games.

someone has a quote about glenn hoddle being a luxury player and the respnse i "hoddle a luxury player? only the bad players are a luxury" or something along those lines. aaron lennon is the epithamy of a luxury player.

This is a loser quote. As the great Sean Connery said "Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen."

You can do better than that! Pour out your heart and share your opinion?

Or you can sit on that comfy fence of yours while adding to your 21 posts!

Sorry but lennon is a headless chicken, run here run there nothing at the end of it,i think that gio should be given a chance, he seems to have an end result to his runs....

Lennons biggest problem, apart from his crossing, is that he never makes space for himself to receive the ball, when was the last time you saw him run into space beyond his marker, his movement off the ball is often non existant.

I've always been a big fan of Lennon when he's played on the right hand side. Tonight he seemed to start off well, decent first half but then in 2nd half Dos Santos came on & lennon was moved to the left & thats when he looked lost & his performance really went downhill.

That said, Jol kept trying to play him on the left & Ramos keeps trying it too

At least he was getting in good positions and creating some sort of attack when he played down the right. Fair enough his final ball wasn't always great but he did a hell of a lot more than most.

As soon as Ramos moved him to the left he had no impact. I've seen it happen before, I don't know why Ramos keeps doing it. Lennon and Hutton were our biggest threat, so what does Ramos do? Move one of them!

Why put Gio on the right and Lennon left :bang:

lennon has been a plus so far this season, the problem is the manager keeps changing the team every game & cannot see that we dont have the right striker on our books that can hold the ball up to bring others into the game for the 4-5-1 system to work?

Yeh that sums up what we were all thinking. Lennon was terrorising Lukovic. He had no idea where to stand to defend against Lennon and that was directly responsible for JJ being able to walk through the defence at one point.

When Lennon moved to the left they carried on playing it down the right, because they couldn't figure out how to pass left. Dos Santos was decent for about 2 minutes then the defence figured out what he was going to do and he was getting squeezed off the ball. Shame as Lennon looked lively and far from shit.

it doesnt matter if he was terrorising the full back if he cant do anything with the ball. its like picking up smoking hot twins at a club taking them home and then not being able to get it up

I am shocked that his delivery is still so poor. He either tries to drill a ball across, but without the pace or power of a drilled cross, meaning its intercepted easily, or he chips it up in the air, which is ok, but when you want him to attack the byline and get the opposition facing their own goal you want him to fizz balls across (not that there would be anyone in there to score)

Lennon does seem to produce a better cross when cutting in from the left, but I dont understand Ramos' adulation for putting both Gio and Lennon on the wrong wings. It is too predictable and makes us too narrow.

To be fair, Lennon is about the only player in the team that makes me even thinking about standing up when he's on the ball at the moment.

If that makes any sense?

lennon is our best fucking player by a mile. He has lost his effectiveness in the premiership though. When he broke onto the premieship scene everyone thought he was bloody amazing. I remember when england fans were screaming for a manager to have balls to drop beckham and play lennon back when beckham was still a sacred cow. Now hes just one good player in a team of little shits and therefore easy to deal with - particularly as his trademark runs to the goal line and cutting back a cross are a bit predictable.

In europe the defense dont know how the fuck to deal with him. Bale was shit today and when lennon was moved to the left we didnt see any more of him. Giovani just loses the ball and fucking stands there! We paid barca 4 mil for their pizza crusts!

Lennon is the least of our problems. Right now, if you can avoid being sent off or conceding a PK, you're doing well for Spurs.
