It's irritating how Citeh and RM can consistently refresh their squad with great turnovers because stupid clubs like scum and United are paying over the odds for their retirees.
They have to be great in the first place to get paid off though. It's irritating how Citeh and RM can consistently refresh their squad with great turnovers because stupid clubs like scum and United are paying over the odds for their retirees.
Or he'll take over Fernandinho's mantle of being constantly snide but always getting away with it.Dirty player who may get found out in the PL. Red Card waiting to happen.
Exactly if it's like the old United they should have the ref in their pockets and no bookings for him.Or he'll take over Fernandinho's mantle of being constantly snide but always getting away with it.
Just for hilarious context though, it's still 33% lower than Barcelona's.
There may be difference in quality between the PL and LL but a Massive gulf in quality is a MASSIVE overstatement. Real Madrid in the middle of a rebuild beat Liverpool in the CL final and City in the semi final. Villarreal who finished 7th in LL got to the CL semi final. The EL is more often than not won by a team from LL. Villarreal actually beat Man Utd in the final of the EL the season when Man U finished 2nd.
Agree. I have no idea what his mindset is.Casemiro may well end up being the mercenary flop many on here are predicting, but I find it odd that folk are using the argument that because he's already got a bunch of medals he has no more desire to succeed. If we were signing an experienced multi-champions league winner we'd be crowing about what a winner he was and the experience he'd bring to the squad...
Just look at the Perisic thread for comparison.
Utd may well have been able to spend the money better, but I suspect suggesting Casemiro is some busted fflush will be wide of the mark.

He could join Utd and be an experienced leader and captain to help them get a better mentality in the dressing room.
Alternatively, he could go through the motions, get his ridiculous pay and not help resolve their issues at all.
Had a free £5 bet from bet 365 on Utd/Liverpool game, had Eriksen to score from outside the box 18/1.
The fee is absurd but, incredibly, it's not even the dumbest part.yep and in 2 years it will be another failed signing and the utd fans will be screaming why why why. lol
Honestly don't think Rice agrees to go to United regardless of the fee. The club is a graveyard of young talent.Surely another £30m gets them Declan Rice?
He's a good player, perhaps great. But not used to playing in the more physical and quick PL, and surely will be on the decline soon if not already.
£70m is absolutely hilarious. You could get almost any other defensive midfielder in the world for that money.
He's won everything at Real and he's going there for the payday because they're desperately throwing money around.
The fee is absurd but, incredibly, it's not even the dumbest part.
Putting a 30 year old on a 5 year deal for 350k p/w is ludicrous. Means he's completely impossible to move on and defensive midfielders commonly fade in their early 30s.
Matic dropped off a cliff at 30 and Kante is plagued by injuries at 31. Maybe they get lucky and he lasts until he's 35 like Fernandinho, but he even was a bit-part player from about 33 onwards and played for a team that utterly dominates the ball.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's great to begin with but suspect he'll be yet another overpaid burden they can't get rid of in 2-3 years.
