AS Monaco suprisingly faced relegation from Ligue1. Let's raid this club for players. They have a lot of exciting good players on their books.

-Dennis Appiah: Young talented defender/defensive midfielder
-Nicolas N'Koulou: Young and talented defensive midfielder
-Mahmmadou Diarra: Experience - I don't say more
-Namplays Mendy: Young midfield talent
-Haruna Lukman: Another young taleneted african midfielder. From Nigeria
-Benjamin Moukanjo: Cameroonian striker
-Park Chu-Young: Their top goalscorer from South-Korea

Just to mention a few.....

I always wondered what happened to Monaco after they got to the CL final back in 2004.

A black south korean?

Behave yourself. This whole "SK only recommends black players" is bullshit. Wind your neck in, please. It's more racist than anything SK has ever posted.

I agree with the overall sentiment - probably not that great a prospect for a side looking to finish top 4 in England. Kind of a French West Ham.

What a hideous thought.

I didn't realise Monaco got relegated, that's a big surprise.

-Park Chu-Young: Their top goalscorer from South-Korea

We were linked with him quite recently. His signing will raise our profile in South Korea. Apparently he's as popular, if not popular than Ji-Sung Park.

It is all about teambuilding. That is the key to success. When they don't have the right people for that, you will not succeed.

If you have good scouts and people who can build a good squad, you don't really need the best of managers around.

If you have bad people both at scouting/teambuilding as well as a manager who does not pick the best team week in week out, you will be in trouble.

Park Chu-Young is a player I really like, he is dynamic, intelligent and tireless, but he really needs to score more goals to truly realize his potential. The good thing about him though is he can play as a lone striker, as well as in the hole, so can cover those two positions. We would need to bring another more clinical striker as well though...

That and the fact there are 7 players there who have just managed to relegate one of the 'better' teams in France...

Thats what I thought first.

Surely our scouts would know if one or two of these players could possibly do a job for us... knowing our scouts they wont recommend those players.

That would be another couple of million in the bank from shirt sales alone. Sign him up!!

Agree with the sentiment regarding buying lots of players from a relegated club - which in this case, as in the Wham case and River Plate case, have under achieved; often due to the case that the players thought they were better than they really were...and got a rude awaking having to wake up to 2nd tire football next season.

Stephane Ruffier - defo worthy a "look", unless Spurs go for Lloris :)
Nicolas N'Koulou - solid CB/DMF that is said to be sought after by a few clubs
Chris Malunga - 3 years ago I recommended this LMF strongly and many top clubs put in bids for him back then....but now he's not even a regular for Monaco....
Haruna Lukman - still young and raw but seem to have the build for the EPL
Park Chu-Young - would for sure sell plenty of shirts in S-Korea and I think he could be quite usefull off the bench as an offensive "all rounder", thus being able to replace either an OMF or an CF.
