OK, for the Levy Out brigade...

1. Where is this new super-rich buyer going to come from?

2. How much in transfer fees does he need to spend to appease the fans?

3. How high must our wage:revenue ratio go?

4. How will this be accounted for under FFP?

5. How will he deal with an obstructive London council dragging their feet over CPOs and landowners demanding outrageous compensation?

6. How much revenue in sponsorship would they need to bring in?

I'm sorry but the people dreaming of our club attracting an oil-rich sugar daddy, writing blank cheques to get us to win the league have missed the boat with Chelsea and City.

Agreed with all but the last bit.

I don't believe that there were just the two boats to miss.

There will be other super rich investors willing to plough their money into football clubs. And as PSG and Man City have already proved with their sponsorship deals and other loopholes, FFP won't stop them.

The question is whether any of them will see fit to invest in Spurs.

I also wanted a manager,not his mate.

I want net spend sometimes and the stadium he promised.

So he shouldn't have promised anything? I'd rather someone who's making progress, that Sugar who seemingly didn't think it was important.

Ah fuck it, in for a penny in for a pound and all that. I've read the rules here, but fuck it someone needs to say what everyone else is thinking...you sir, are a complete and utter cock. A bellend of the highest order.

Everytime we put in a shit performance you start one of your dickish threads. Christ I wouldn't even mind so much if you just added to your original thread each time we lost. But we all know how you feel now so why don't you just shut up.

Yes it was shite today, yes we are all pissed off, but you absolutely the worst kind of fan. An embarrassment to yourself and this forum.

Oh Come on, As a business we are run very well and if the product was not football, Levy would receive a lot of plaudits, But we are a football club and a results driven business, Success on the pitch is where it needs to start. Levy needs to realise that if he and ENIC want to fulfil their ambition of selling the club (that is what ENIC do invest and sell at a higher price), Then they have to ensure that we are seen as a viable purchase. The problem is, From a footballing perspective we are badly run, Levy does not know the recipe for success in football and it beggars belief that the blueprint for that has been laid out in front of him for years. The club go through players far too quick because we panic buy on players that really have not been scouted for the suitability of our team, We drop managers as soon as we realise that we made a blunder and it goes pear shaped.

This season we spent £100m on unsuitable players and they have been massive let downs, Not one has given me excitement or encouragement that the club know what they are doing. We have not just stagnated, poor football decisions are turning us into a team in decline. For me, When you exhausted all avenues, Spent ludicrous amounts of money, Had 6 mangers in 10yrs (likely 7 soon) and discarded players left right and centre (players like Bentley and Pav come to mind as they had a combined fee of about £40m and were total shit), Then you have to look at yourself and ask some questions about your ability to run a football club. We are a total shambles and it is not down to Avb, Harry, BMJ, Ramos, Sherwood or even Santini is it? With the exception of Sherwood, They all have stories that are quite similar in one way or another and the title always includes Levy.

the sad truth is league finishes generally mirror revenue. We were 6th in revenue in 2012 - the last year I could find data for. But 1-4 were well above us, and Liverpool was 5th, about 25 million pounds above us. So Id say Levy has performed a little better than he could be expected to perform with a series of 4th and 5th place finishes.

Watching today's game made me realise us fans just have unrealistic expectations from a team, that is severely lacking in certain areas. Given all the investment of the summer, I myself was deceived into believing this could be a special season where we would mount a serious trophy challenge on several fronts. However, as the season has wore on, and particularly today's episode against a mediocre Norwich side, I have come to realise that our squad has nothing more than average mid-table players in a number of positions. The person I hold responsible for our demise following champions league qualification under Arry is none other than our dear leader, the YID himself, Dan "you're fired" Levy!

It's all so easy to pick on the manager (Tim as is the case for now!) but looking at the players on the pitch today, my Lord some of them are overhyped on this message board!

Excluding Lloris, our back 5 were pathetic today. I know most people on here rate Naughton as a championship/league 1 player (sentiments I agree with entirely) but I honestly don't think Rose fares much better. He reminds me of Kyle Walker when he first burst onto the scene i.e. a headless chicken who could run like forrest gump only to put in a pathetic low cross aimed at no one, before getting caught out of position. It happened time after time today and I sat there wondering how someone with less than 5 brain cells can go onto become a top flight footballer!

Then we have the dilema that is Vertonghen! What people see and like in him (apart from the side parting and superman celebration) I will never know. He strops around the pitch throwing a fit every time he gets touched by an opposition player - if he spent less time moaning and looking a tad more interested in our cause, it would serve him well. I often hear what a great reader of the game he is or how incredible he is with the ball - to all such idiots I can only say please go and watch that game again (if you can bare it) and see what he did whenever he had the ball. He either gave the ball away following a lazy pass or when he did find a team mate, he put them under unnecessary pressure surrounded by opposition and nowhere to go. If Barcelona come in with an offer this summer, I'll drive him there myself. He seriously needs to grow a pair and show a bit more interest in our cause!

People argue that our strength is in midfield but the way I see it, this has been the cause of all our problems this season. We have some incredibly overhyped players with zero creativity or imagination. The likes of Paulinho, Chadli and Dembele are mid-table standard at best. Lennon's game hasn't developed one tiny bit since he first joined (makes you wonder what the coaches are doing with him) and of course we have the likes of Eriksen, our one ray of hope, keeping the bench warm! Barring Ben Talem, who clearly needs a rest, none of our midfield could string two passes together. Alas, when they did pull one off, it landed on the feet of Rose/Naughton and we all know too well what happens thereafter!

The less said about Sold-a-dud, the better. Fair enough he tried really hard again but Levy has been mugged big time! Unfortunately, it's the sort of mugging a club of our stature cannot afford but it serves the baldy right for trying to be overly clever.

To sum up, I think us fans should set sensible expectations from our current crop. We are at best a 7th/8th placed team in this league. I still expect the likes of Man U and possibly even Everton to catch us before the season ends.

this year may very well be our fifth consecutive top-5 finish. when was the last time that happened?

is it our fault that the premier league is blown out of all proportion.. the league is full of shit teams, overpaid and overrated players who havent a fucking brain in their head with limited technical ability and skill and class.. its exciting though ill give it that and thats why we keep coming back for more.. top 5 doesnt mean shit... id rather finsih 10th than 5th... at end of day it makes no difference ...

bottom line is today and more importantly if we want to see better players playing at our club then top 4 counts and been in champions league. if we want to win trophies we have to get these players in and they wont come without chmapions league..obviously some luck along way helps but we wont pay players the best wages so without that we will have players like dawson naughton rose lennon etc etc plodding us along...

that defeat today sickened me big time and i beleiev top 4 is gone now.. i was just hoping we cud nick top 4, get a LVG in who could attract a few real top class players in summer and push on .. that wont happen now and it will be more gambles again next summer if we get any money at all now off levy..

And now they want LVG and I'm happy to point that out once it goes sour.
Wow, a right beacon of light aren't you? :)

I think everyone has their choices of who they'd like to see in charge but lets face it, whoever does/gets the job is on a hiding to nothing. So coming on here and saying 'I told you so' if the next guy fails is hardly some sort of triumphant reference of your ability to see into the future now is it? :D
