Seems to fit AVBs style of physical players who press and harass the opposition while still possessing attacking quality.

The figure in the press yesterday was under £2m, still an absolute steal.

Don't treat me like Hugo Lloris, Spurs-bound Lewis Holtby warns AVB

Lewis Holtby has put down an early marker for his move to White Hart Lane by hitting out at suggestions he may have to bide his time under Andre Villas-Boas and insisting he expects to go straight in to Tottenham's starting line-up.
Schalke are still waiting for word from Spurs over whether they want to sign Holtby now for a cut-price £1.6million, or wait until he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.

Either way, the 22-year old attacking midfielder made it clear he has no intention of being kept waiting for the chance to show his worth.
Asked whether he may face the same frustration as fellow Germany midfielder Marko Marin, who has struggled to force his way into the Chelsea team since leaving Werder Bremen last year, an indignant Holtby replied: 'I am not Marko Marin, I am Lewis Harry Holtby. I know what I am capable of, and I am thinking very positively about what I can do for Tottenham.'

While Villas-Boas may welcome such a level of self-confidence, he may be less enamoured at the prospect of another new signing expressing concern at having to take a turn on the bench.

Hugo Lloris cut a disgruntled figure at playing second fiddle to Brad Friedel after arriving from Lyon for £12million at the start of the season. The France keeper finally seems to have established himself ahead of Freidel, but only after outlining his displeasure to Villas-Boas.
'Yes, there were discussions, because it could not go on,' said Lloris. 'But it is positive for me here now.'

Villas-Boas is known to favour having viable alternatives in every position but is beginning to discover it can cause discontent among those left on the sidelines.

The sad thing is people do actually read and believe the tripe these rags serve up, I get texts off mates often talking about what they have heard. Ridiculous

That is so lazy it's comical.

How on earth do these hacks not lose their jobs over such things?
