I really hope he has a future with us.

He needs a proper run of games, game after game to really get use to the league, then I think he will become the great player that he can be.

You watch. Three of our remaining midfielders will get long term injuries now and we'll be up shit creek again.

The guy on SSN who is doing the Spurs part of Deadline Day, said earlier that Sherwood is happy that Holtby has gone out on loan, and he does have a future at the club.

Good. He's good enough and has a bright future ahead of him. Tim best be telling the truth. It's up to Lewis now to impress.

We play Bentaleb pretty much as a regular but ship out Holtby on loan, fucking mind boggling. How does Levy even sanction this shit.

Anyone know if he will be available for tomorrows match for them?

Should be. Players have to be registered by 5:00 PM the Friday before the weekend I believe. The move was completed before then. Holtby himself also mentioned he wanted to make an impact against Southampton, who Fulham play tomorrow.

Good loan for him. He clearly needs to learn how to play in the league and there are 2 or 3 players ahead of him in any one of his jack of all trades positions.

this loan will be brilliant for him. starting week in week out in the PL in a relegation dog fight, he's got a great striker to aim for, stays in london. hope he carves it up and comes back a better and more confident player.

Does Sherwood genuinely think Bentaleb is a better player than Holtby? Why would he give Bentaleb a run of games but not Holtby?

From a top management point of view, if Holtby isn't in the first choice matchday squad, he's leeching 65k a week for no good reason. Bentaleb is cheap to have around.

They play in different positions for starters, Holtby is incapable of playing as part of a Cm2. Doesn't have the brain or temperament to play there.

He is competing with Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Soldado etc.

Personally, I'm not convinced on Bentaleb as part of a midfield 2 either. I can understand Holtby not being too suited to it, he's better off when playing as part of a 3 and being the metronome player with 2 work horses around him. I think Sandro and Dembele formed a good partnership before, perhaps Paulinho and Sandro could do as well. Regardless, I'd rather see us play with 3 in the middle and Holtby could certainly play a part in that.

We still have Gomes leeching as much!
