Lift sharing this season

Are there any Sheffield / Midlands based fans who might be interested in lift sharing?

It's getting quite pricy driving down to games from all the way up in Sheffield, and I was wondering if any fellow yids who live near Sheffield, or anywhere along the M1, might be interested in getting a ride down to the odd game in exchange for chipping into petrol money a bit? As it stands, next game I'll be heading down for will probably be vs. the scum on the 2nd October.

apologies dav3j, I'm not actually offering a lift, but your post got me thinking that it might be an idea to have a thread, or section of the site, where people post their lift-sharing availability, for example, if there was someone who was travelling from sheffield they could post this and say how many spaces they have available. then fans who are looking for a lift on that route could make contact and people could share the cost of the journey (price to be agreed before hand of course).

there is a German website that does this (for people in Germany), but it is not football fans specifically who advertise lifts, but anyone in general. I used it once and it was very handy.

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea, sort of had it in the back of my mind which is why I left the title of the thread fairly open.

Found this link today which I've signed up to. Looks like you can post car shares as a general invite / request open to all, or specifically in their Tottenham lift sharing section. Not sure how many active users there are on here.
