Heard of him before but never actually seen him play. Think he is highly rated and was so in La Liga with Sevilla and did transfer for a pretty hefty sum for a young midfielder I think if IRC.

Just realised I watched him play last season, but hadn't really caught my eye that day. He played RM in Monaco's 442/4312 diamond. According to wiki Monaco paid $27m USD (£16m GBP) to buy him from Seville. That's a lot of dough for a 20yo defensive midfielder.

Well, Thauvin is an asshole, he's probably the most-hated player in France.

Go on please, genuinely curious as to why.
Did 6 good months at Bastia for his first season in Ligue 1, signed for Lille during the winter transfer window. Lille loaned him back to Bastia for the rest of the season. At the end of the season, he went to the U20 World Cup, which France won. Marseille started to say in the press they wanted him. When he had to come back to training for Lille (he had some rest after the WC) he didn't show up, and missed training for several days, saying he wanted to go to Marseille. He finally signed for Marseille on the last day of the transfer window, with a much much bigger salary.
It lasted weeks, he showed absolutely no respect to his club, and to his sport in general.

Pastore is finally looking the business. Very similiar player to lamela I think, probably a bit more technical but not as explosive

Another win for Marseille, anyone think they can seriously push psg? bielsa said he was pleased with their win but they couldn't keep up the tempo he wanted for the whole game as the way he wants to play is very demanding.

This is a familiar refrain for a Bielsa team.

Did anyone see all the Marseille/Toulouse game (@Barry Mead ) ??

No I did manage to get in half the Lyon Montpellier game although it looks like I got the wrong half! At least Gourcuff looked like he was showing signs of the player he was a few years back and Lacazette looked a threat but early on if anything Montpellier looked more a threat, there you go 5-1, I guess that'll teach Montpellier a lesson about home advantage. Nabil Fekir caught the eye as OL started to get on top and I thought Anthony Mounier looked a threat for Montpelier but that's obviously just based on what I saw

I did notice a rumour about Chavs getting linked with OM's Imbula following his performances this season and I can see why Mourinho might be interested, oh and after the previous multi striker links it was unsurprising that we were linked with Gignac last week. On his day in fact on his season he is great but he has been very inconsistent over the years. I'm still waiting to see us seriously linked with Lacazette, however if Berahino keeps shining I have to say maybe we don't need to look abroad for a striker, although it seems his price isn't going to be cheap

Very impressive start by Marseille away to PSG. Still 0-0 but you only admire what Bielsa does when he's in charge of a football team. they usually can't sustain the intensity over a season but there's one thing you can't deny and that is he gets his teams playing exactly how he wants and fast!

Lacazette scored again today and Fekir hit two as Lyon made it five wins in a row as they continue upward after a bit of a mixed start, was planning to watch it but plans went a bit astray. Don't know how he did today (apart from the fact that he scored two but Fekir has been looking something of a prospect sharp, pacy, skilful. Lacazette well we all know what a good striker he has developed into last season and this. The trouble is the better Lyon do the harder it will be to try and sign him

Marseille were the better side tonight and got skanked. If they'd been a bit more composed with the situations they had and Mendy hadn't fucked up a simple clearance, they'd have come away from this game with at least a point, maybe 3. Didn't help that the ref bought Cabaye's cheating and wrongly sent off the excellent on the night Imbula.

Marseille impressed me tonight, PSG were very underwhelming.
