Well well well

Following on from original reports from our colleagues at M365, Get French Football News has uncovered that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have sent representatives on multiple occasions this season to watch Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The pair of North London clubs continue to survey the man that rejected Newcastle United on more than one occasion last summer and who is a former Liverpool target.

Arsenal and Tottenham have had representatives present over five times this season.

Alexandre Lacazette is currently the league’s top scorer with 11 goals.

Did anybody else see the rather astonishing PSG result today? They were 2-0 up and lost 4-2 to 19th placed Bastia!

PSG now sit fourth in the table (heehee!).

Marseille also lost, 2-1 to Montpellier on Friday. Montpellier's Lasne was excellent.

We have no chance with Lacazzete especially now that City seem to be showing an interest. Boat missed.

Don't know much about him. Is he a striker? City have just signed one.

Yea top scorer in Ligue 1 at the moment has 19 goals and 5 assists from 20 games. Seems to be on the scoresheet whenever I check Lyons results. Two goals for him today.

Think he played against us in the europa league either last season or the one before last.

The article I read said they're looking to revamp their strikeforce so maybe Dzeko is off or they plan to play Jovetic deeper.

Marseille have imploded. Lyon are now left as the sole challenger but it's looking like PSG are going to waft over the line, in true French style just casually doing enough, as if it's all too much trouble but OK go on then if we must.

Bilesa didn't really have the squad depth for his high tempo approach - to be fair it never reached Bilbao ferocity - and he basically ran out of juice - and luck.

Yep, it's a shame for Marseille, even looking as though they might miss out on CL as well. The ghastly away record has also contributed to their downfall.

Whilst a PSG win would be sadly predictable, I think this season has to make you optimistic for the future - Lyon are pushing them all the way, Monaco seem to be moving towards a sustainable, long-term competitiveness and even teams like St Etienne are a force to be reckoned with. It's no longer a cake-walk for PSG.

Did you see Lyon - St Etienne last night? It was a fantastic game.

To be honest, I think as much as it looked like things were getting interesting, and it was a really enjoyable season for diversity up to March it's all got a bit predictable again. I think PSG will win it this year almost in second gear. I think they have put a lot of energy into the CL, Ibra has been missing for a chunk and it took Larry White a while to get to grips with the dressing room as well I think. They will win it almost be default of having the kind of back players most of the league don't have as first choice.

Lyon will almost certainly lose Lacazette (and maybe a couple of others), Marseille are going to lose Gignac (though the have the excellent Batshuayi coming through) and Ayew and possibly Payet if the rest of the footballing world has any sense, it will be interesting to see who those two bring in.

Monaco are being really well coached and have some good young players like Kondogbia, Martial with quality older heads like Moutinho and Berbatov etc but wouldn't surprise me of the lose a couple of those this summer and they can't go out and splash the kind of money to compete with PSG as getting 15 fans a game isn't conducive with FFP and expensive divorces.
