You know, when Harry came, we only had a crowd of 34,000 after 8 games,
...... oh, hang on, perhaps it was 2 points?

If that is true and Arsenal are first with over 99% full, then it shows you how quiet and generally poor their supporters are as well as how much they truly fucked up the acoustics over there

i was talking to my dad who is a structural engineer (did alot of work on Priestfield - Gillingham's stadium) a while back, and I said to him something along the lines of if i were to build a new stadium, i would make it so that the sound rebounds back into the ground to make a noisier atmosphere. His response was to say that he would do the opposite, as grounds are often used for other events such as concerts, meaning the people paying would want it designed for utility in this area. id still prefer a noisy stadium though!

I'm no engineer - but surely you want the sound kept in for both football and music

anyway football is what matters at the Lane and we want it loud and crowd

the problem with keeping sound in for music is that if its not designed correctly you dont hear much of the direct sound, mostly reverb and echo, so consequently the concert sounds shit.. however, its gotta be football only the lane please! noisy as poss!

nice stats to see attendances but how some clubs can have highest attendance bigger than capacity is a bit strange ...

thanks for info Reece

as we both (and surely any sane Spurs fan) agree - our acoustics should be designed for football -

I would hate us to sacrifice sound quality because of other possible utlisations

How have Wet Spam managed to shoe horn over 40,000 into a 'stadium' that only holds 35,000?

Yeah, Wembley has this problem, the roof is designed to echo, and thus when it's not full (and there's no one in there to absorb it) bands sound horrible... luckily when it's full it ain't so bad so the main bands sound ok, but support bands sound horrible!

Do Arsenal still fiddle their attendances?

Yes they always count season tickets as attended even when they don't attend, I suspect that may be the case elsewhere but the nature of arsenal is that they have many city plastic's and corporate hospitality concessions and so include them.
I undestand that all boxes are also counted as fully occupied but I don't know for sure.
