I think most people simply don't want Sherwood. Some people have said they're warming to him or like him but I think even then, they don't really and are just waiting for one monumental fuckup like recalling Livermore to pounce and let their true feelings be known. Look at some of the posts in here from members who have said elsewhere that they would give him a chance. Only takes the Daily Mail for their hate to pour out. Sherwood has no chance.

Fair point my good man. I don't think TS would be many people's first choice. But IF Livermore is to be recalled in the playing sense, as opposed to selling or whatever, then it would be bizarre to say the least. As you say, 'monumental'. All that said, without retreading the whole post here, who knows how reliable this is. Sounds like potenttial guff to me. But then again, so have so many other things!

Ok, i'm cool with this, it's obviously because we've had an offer too good to turn down from another club, that's all.

I'll just wait for the inevitable news of his transfer, that's why he's been recalled, it'll be fine.

Of course that's it.

The other reason it might be happening is Dembele picked up another bad knock...his substitution was strange.
Livermore better than Capoue... I think I will go cut my wrists if TS thinks that is the case.

Or it is a seriously an English agenda.

according to LLM, we have to negotiate with Hull to bring back Livermore. As a PL loan which involves a fee, means if the player is recalled that the fee has to be partially repaid. Added to that we are also trying to recall Carroll with Kane going the other way.

You cant make this shit up.

So tomorrow we could at some point(though probably for like a minute with the following players for CM

Holtby, Eriksen, Carroll, Livermore, Dembele, Paulinho, Capoue, Sandro and Bentaleb with Chadli and Lamela able to play CAM

I was always sceptical about Jake, but he has come on nicely at Hull, partly as a result of being given both more responsibility and more freedom. (I am told that under AVB the instructions he played to did not involve him crossing the halfway line.)

As a midfielder he is one of those with no particular strengths or particular weaknesses; in other words he can perform all aspects of the midfielder's job adequately but unspectacularly, which given the quotes from Tim and Les is presumably what they looking for in their system; someone in fact a bit like Tim in his playing days (though I doubt he will ever actually be that good).

Jake also has character and will follow instructions (even those he does not particularly like, see above). I am pretty sure he would have put in a more competitive and disciplined shift against City than did any of our midfielders on the day. My assumption would be that if he is being recalled that it is as an immediate upgrade on Bentaleb, and by immediate I mean he is seen as being more capable than the player Bentaleb is now, if not necessarily the better prospect in the medium term.

I fully agree. Jake has developed well. With him and bentalab spearheading our midfield our premiership status is secured. Much like hull city.

If we recall Carroll and Livermore but dont loan out Bentaleb and lose Holtby and Capoue, I will be the first person on the firing squad.

I think if we could get Livermore, Siggy, and Naughton more game time, we could hopefully be challenging West Brom for that coveted 12th place.

Unfortunately, this is what it's gonna be like while Tim's in charge. Every negative rumour will be taken as fact and give people the chance to hate him and slag him off that little bit more on here.

There are no quotes from anyone in that article. The reaction, as usual, is embarrassing. Even if it was true (and I hope it isn't) it could be that Holtby and Capoue are causing unrest in the camp because of their situation and with the ongoing injuries to Sandro and Paulinho, as well as the need for more homegrown players, Livermore may be a handy & free back up for the next few months.

My instinct says this won't happen. No quotes, no other media sources have picked up on it, no nothing.

What's happening to you lot :-(

There are good reasons behind the reaction to this news.
Firstly bentalab has Ben the first name on Sherwood's team sheet.
Then Sherwood admitted he is willing to let holtby and Capoue go.
The second name on his team sheet is sigurdson.

Could be a masterstroke or complete failure. Those who know claim to know how it turns out should play the lotto, the rest of us should wait and see what happens ;)

That was so unexpected that I read that three times as 'Liverpool recalled' and was thinking "WTF does that mean?" Until I clicked the link - now I'm just thinking WTF....

Livermore?? of course we're not going backwards....

Maybe Tim only wants players who have heard of him.

His recall? Meh. Maybe just decent cover although with so many other CMs maybe tim actually sees him high up the pecking order? I mean we have an absolute plethora of CM's including arguably our best 2 having now returned from injury and fresh to go. And if reports are true that he'll be starting against hull (and don't forget the sheer cheek that takes) then I'll lose a lot of faith in him.

I this is the case, then don't forget that we still have Gomes in our squad. I would rather play him in midfield than call back Livermore!!

I hope that I am wrong in ridiculing Livermore, but I somehow doubt it.
