Bit of skill about him too. Not a 'wonderkid' as such, but quite underrated.

Maybe it is because he would be a decent kid coming through as a 4th choice with the odd cup game and plenty of time to develop, but Liverpool have had to rely on him as first choice back up to Torres. Liverpool's depth is poor in a lot of positions and none is more dramatic then when Torres is missing.

I don't think N'Gog is that bad at all, but I know who I'd rather we were facing.

Maxi Rodriguez will make an appearance I suspect but I hear A Madrid got rid as he's had a poor season anyway.

Well, I haven't actually seen him play this season, but the guy has scored 7 goals this season. That's an impressive tally for a midfielder/winger.

I rate him at the same level as Kranjcar. His goals record for Espanyol was phenomenal, scoring about 1 in 2 in 2004/5 in the league. He did virtually the same for Atleti the season after.

The lad is blind to all his team mates that are close to him, last night he should have played in a liverpool player for a clear shot on goal, but put the ball the wrong way, he did this twice, and then when he was clear on goal he did not see how much space he had, and knocked it wide.
A good player knows where his team mates are without looking around.

Shouldn't really laugh tbh, I remember in the summer everyone was laughing about Nasri breaking his leg, I said the same thing. Then look what happened to Modric....

With their best two/three players out we need to take advantage, COYS don't let us down.
You know what would make the win sweeter. The fact that we have at least 3 of our first team out as well! Shows our depth v theirs! But yes lets not run before we can walk we need to do the stuff v hull first! And liverpool away still will be tough game mark my words

great news, however their players often seem to come back a lot quicker than expected. Hopefull, it'll still be too earl, for them to face us.

It'll be a tough test and even if we win our next two games our biggest competition could be man citY, so this won't improve our chances unless other teams drop points.

I also hope keane plays, it's certianly not a weakened team! If he never plays how can he find form?

I was dissapointed liverpool didn't win last night the more games our rivals plaY the better, hoping villa and man city meet in the carling cup after wining in extra time after two grueling matches.

Let just hope theY don't sack benitez

I haven't seen him either but I listened to the Guardians Football weekly podcast with Sean Ingle Barry Glenndenning & Rob Smyth. One of them said Maxi was good but disruptive to the team, although he'd scored a few had generally been poor. I hope he doesn't end up playing like Ricky Villa, well against us anyway.

what's the weather like in Liverpool? Any sign of snow and they'll be trying to get us postponed again

Lucas now suspended for our match.

Now this would need to be checked, but I know that before this season, a suspension for five yellow cards came into effect seven days after the booking was picked up. So he'd be able to play against us, but not next weekend.
