Ade just tweeted he is looking forward to the game, hopefully that means he is fit. He may not be scoring but away from home a CF that can hold up the ball is vital.

Daws has looked good against Carroll before - he's his type of striker - he got nowt as I recall for Toon last year - it just depends if they play him (and Dawson himself), and how ring rusty he is...

Yep, last season at WHL Dawson had Carroll in his pocket all game.

Getting very nervous about this one, god I hate Liverpoo. On paper its no contest really, we should win such is the quality of our midfield. Would truly love a Saha winner coming off the bench, that would make it extra special

why bother coming back then, if you prefer the other forum so much? What is the point in coming on here just to slate it, very odd behaviour...

Rafa is okay

That means, for me (presuming ade is fit)

----------------Friedel-----------------
Walker---Dawson----King---------Ekotto
------------Sandro-Parker---------------
-----Rafa---------Modric---------Bale----
------------------Adebayor---------------

With Saha straight in for Ade if unfit.

Where has it said that? Good news if true although I hope he's properly fit.

What an odd person?!

Back to the game...

I wasnt particulary confident anyway, but with Kaboul and Lennon definately out and Defoe. VDV, and Adebayor doubtful I am even less confident. (Bet that doesnt surprise some of you!)

The trouble is with us from what I can see recently is that if Lennon doesnt play we seem to lose our shape. Modric is wasted out there and VDV is a liability when played on the right as he doesnt track back.

With the personel we have I honestly think 3 at the back with 2 wing backs ( Walker and Bale for tonight) would suit us well. you would then keep Modric and VDV in their best positions. With both Sandro and Parker keeping it tight in the centre. But there is no way we will change our system tonight.

i dont think we are playing very well at the moment and am sorry to say I can only see one result tonight. A Liverpool win.

Optimistic!

I think we will look like Norwich away with Parker and Sandro sitting behind VDV Bale Modric and Ade... Not too bad if we get Walker bombing on...

Tonight I would go for:

.................Friedel

..... King.....Dawson....Nelson

Walker ...........................Bale

............Sandro....Parker............

......VDV......................Modric...

................Adebayor....................

Bit of a gamble I know but without Lennon as per my previous post we seem to lose our shape!

COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
