Bale's chance is probably in a lot of our minds but the draw was a good result considering we were defending for most of the game. If it had a bit more pace I reckon Reina wouldn't have been able to tuck his legs in time. Parker was excellent second half, as were Livermore, Walker and King. Saha looked quite sharp when he was on.

We rip into Wolves and Stoke for playing like that on our manor. It was some woeful shit.

Very negative approach to that game.
but when your assistant manager comes out with that defeatist nonsense before the match i didn't expect anything less.

but a point at Anfield is better than none.

Exactly, i'm very disappointed with our attitude towards this game. The instant we took adebayor off we played for the draw, which we should not be doing at all. If we actually kept the ball and passed forwards we would have got them on the counter. Instead we chose to hoof it clear. Livermore and Walker had good performances today. Parker was brave but didn't contribute in a positive manner at all in the first half; Gerrard had the beating of him time and time again. Modric was good in spells. Bale and adebayor should have had more support from the midfield, but instead we played for a draw.

Scott Parker was huge tonight. Friedel as sound as ever. Walker good overall, especially early on. Dawson put in some man's work out there. I'll take the depleted point.

I think all things considered that is a good point for us. I am disappointed we didn't have more of a go at them but on the flip side we defended brilliantly. Parker was immense and Daws and Leds were solid as rock at the back.

Anifield is never an easy place to go and think you have to be happy with the point - if you take VDV, Lennon and Defoe out of any side you are always going to be on the back foot from an attacking point of view.

that was some extremely negative shit

and i know everyone will say great result blah blah blah, but meh! that was bullshit, i just dont enjoy seeing my team park the bus against anyone other than barca:lol:

Great result though...blah, blah, blah

I don't think it was a deliberate thing but we looked strangely lacking in conviction in the attacking third for some reason.

On the other hand, a point isn't bad at all, a clean sheet at Anfield is better, and our latest unbeaten run gains momentum. And, most importantly, we haven't got our difficult run off to a losing start.

We have just picked up a valuable point at a very tough ground, against an inform team. Plus we were missing a whole host of players and the manager.

Fine, we didn't create much but our defending was immense. The gap to Chelsea is now 7 points.

You would think we lost by some of the comments on here, get a grip.

We have a poor record there and Liverpool have drawn a lot of games there this season.

Not a bad result - the draw's not surprising.

I too would have taken a point beforehand. Only saw the second half but fuck me Parker was immense, he was like a warrior out their on the pitch.

The only thing that pissed me off was the lack of times I saw Bale on the left.

Poor game, poor performance overall. Parker was immense, my god, we should have signed him a long time ago. Have said in another thread, England captain?

Also, what a shower of *****s Liverpool are as a club.

Yep.. good point imo. A monday night away at anfield with loads of injuries and no manager was always going to be tough. Liverpool are in form at the moment and with suarez returning it had loss written all over it.

All things considered, good point, didn't deserve less.

Very un-Spurs-like, great defending, poor poor attacking, getting fed up of making excuses for Adebayor not putting the ball in the net - hasn't even been a threat in the, what, last 6 or 7 games.

Our difficult run started with City. The two tough games so far have yielded 1 point from 6.... If we take a point at Arsenal, which would also be considered a 'good result' then that's 2 points from a possible 9.

Feel sorry for any neutral fans watching that must have been one of the most boring games of the season!

Great result. You've got to do that in a long season, grind it out. Parker and Dawson the glue that held it together toniight, both put a shift in.
