Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers as boring manager as I thought he was

Liverpool is a boring Club nowadays, and when you look at Swansea, Brendan Rodgers managed to build a team with some exciting players. They were quite exciting to watch at times.

After all, it seems he was just lucky to get some of the players, because now he seems to be very average when it comes to team building. When the first signing is italian player Borini, I would say they could choose any other manager around.Clint Dempsey could be the next after that..... Okay. Football should be fun, or what? Just another mainstream manager with no sense of what a good team is.

Let's hope we can get it right with AVB now. So far we have signed two International players. So far, so good.

I agree that Liverpool look like a bit of a lost cause these days and certainly the signings of Borini and Dempsey are both uninspiring and safe options.

Without getting too ahead of myself on this one i would predict another season of Liverpool being pretty far off the pace of the top 4.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Rogers interview yesterday where he was talking about Andy Carol going out on loan, he didn't confirm or deny it but it's pretty clear that Carol is available and probably at a fraction of the £35m that they paid for him. What a flop!

I wouldn't class Borini as a safe option, he did well at Roma last season.

He'd certainly improve their attacking options.

Excellent! Let me extend your negative ratings for you on this, the 10th day of the transfer window :)

I know it is early, but you see the trend and how the guy is thinking. It is so mainstream and average.

Err No, I don't see the trend and I have no idea how he is thinking.

Your post has absolutely no merit whatsoever. Firstly you mention Borini (which is not yet a done deal) who has been a reasonably successful goalscorer. Then you mention Dempsey which at the moment appears only to be paper talk. How many players have we, or indeed any other club, been linked with in the past yet nothing has ever transpired. To base an opinion of a manager on a couple of names mentioned in the red tops you read is just stupid.

Secondly you mention that Swansea had exciting players and were exciting to watch. Well I am assuming those exciting players included Sigurdsson, a player Rodgers obviously tried to bring to Liverpool...an exciting player...to Liverpool...to play for Rodgers...still boring though??? As for their exciting play, this is more to do with the style of play he gets his team to play than the players themselves.

Thirdly, yes it is early...the 10th of bloody July. You have absolutely no idea as to what other players are on his wish list. they have been heavily linked to Ramirez, a player that I wouldn't have been unhappy to see in a Spurs shirt to be honest. To judge any team or manager on what their transfer window has been like so far is, well, just stupid again.

Ah fuck I could go on forever dissecting the idiocy of your post but I really couldn't be arsed. I'll finish by quoting your line "it is so mainstream and average".....I was going to say that the only thing "average" about all of this was your post...but that would be doing you a favour.

I'm not even going to dignify the OP with a response.

Deary me. Is this the usual level of posting I should expect?

Its a good job the league isn't based upon how boring the teams managers are perceived to be then isn't it?

Finally, to the OP, do you have any idea just how close this "broing manager who doesn't know what a good team is" was to being sat where AVB is stood right now? He was nailed on until the FA picked Hodgson.

This is a guy who thinks at Gervinho is more likely to have a good season than RvP next season, and who opposes every signing who isn't either African or French/Belgian of African descent. He's a massive troll, so don't listen to what he says.

That isn't funny, he's a good talent.

It wasn't a joke. I know what makes a good team. Wily Boly is a good talent and would suit Liverpool. I is a shame Brendan Rodgers is boring and does not know what builds a great team.

Dempsey is a great signing for them. If he had been at Citeh or United instead of Fulham last and turned in the kind of performances he did, he would have been well in with a shout of player of the year. Only a year on his contract, so will be cheap too.
