RIP dude :(
The level this seems to be happening in football is a cause for concern and WHY does it seem to attack young men? Football NEEDS to address this before the likes of this becomes common place!

They ALL need to be scanned, this cannot continue to happen.

R.I.P what a shame

In Italy, they are. This from the BBC
Following Muamba's collapse, attention had been drawn to the situation for athletes in Italy, which has mandatory cardiac screening for all young people engaged in organised sport.
The charity Cardiac Risk in the Young says that the Italian measures have reduced the incidence of young sudden cardiac death in Italy by 90% in the 30 years since the screening was introduced.

And still it happens :( Maybe we have to look deeper (which will cost both and money) to see what the actual problem is, could it be training from a young age putting extra strain on the heart, can this be adjusted etc etc. The world of football needs to work together on this.

RIP, surely this is something that FIFA has to act upon

In the last 3 years, there's been a spate of collapses, some of them fatal. Is it a sign that something may be amiss? FIFA should be much stricter in dope testing.

RIP to the guy and hope his family is looked after properly by his club.

Italian clubs showed their support for Fabrice when he collapsed, we should do the same for Livorno tomorrow, such a horrible horrible situation.

Awful news. So young. I was still cocking about, travelling and being a baby at 25.

Terrible news but I bet the 2 horses dying in the National fill more column inches and get discussed more over the next few days than this , they shouldn't of course.
