So you wait all this time for him to have a poor match despite all the astounding performances he's put in for us and now you have reservations?

Come on man!

Lloris is quality, seeing these blunders didn't make me doubt our purchase of him one little bit. Doing so makes me wonder if those people even notice the good he does for us.

But I will say, they were awful mistakes yesterday.

That's the problem with playing between the sticks, one small judgement tends to end up in the net.
God, if every mistake that was made by outfield players resulted in a goal then England would end up losing 50-0 every time they played!

The thing about Lloris is i just don't see him being all that fussed. It was an off day, it didn't cost his team ultimately.. think there will be initial anger as any professional, but ultimately probably some French shoulder shrugging and moving on.

2 balls he should have done better with, the header, MUCH better, but shit happens. You move on. The big difference like I said is, it didn't cost France the game, much easier to forget your mistakes.

As has been said by a few already ALL keepers make mistakes. Lloris has already made a few before and bounced back from them so I'm sure he will with these.

Someone like Gomes on the other hand, as soon as he makes one mistake you can just see a look in his eyes that says this one's going to trouble him for a while. And trouble him it does and then snowballs in to another and another and another until he deliberately injures himself to end the process. Top keeper when his head's right though!

Astonishing.

Spurs Chat will never be a happy place.

Well, not until we get a team that wins every single game without conceding a goal and every players makes zero errors. And even then.........

Lloris is amazing, for every rare blunder he makes, he must save another 5-10 from being quick off his line.

Look at that tackle on Walcott, world class

Unfortunately for goalkeepers, they are never credited for their great moments, just their mistakes

I'm not even interested enough to click on the link to see what all the fuss is about. with the exception of one or two dodgy moments that everyone has at some point, he has been AMAZING for us, and will continue to be. that's really all I care about at the end of the day. he could've made 10 mistakes last night, and I still wouldn't be in the slightest bit concerned.

I wasn't on here much last summer, people REALLY had concerns over him coming? bloody hell, this place sometimes...

Yeah. No thanks to that useless twat of a coach though, eh?

It's a double edged sword, as fast as he is at times his judgement and positioning let him down. When he comes out he comes hard, but it's not always the right decision when he makes it.

I don't understand why he seems to be on such a pedestal for a lot of SC members and seems immune to critique a lot of the time. Let's hope he doesn't make any for us this year!

He has been absolutely world class this year.

Also, as a goalkeeper in real life, Lloris is my idol. He has the speed and quickness that is absolutely perfect for a high line, he's aggressive on crosses, and he's an excellent shot stopper. He's our best player with Gareth gone IMO. The things he does that most don't notice are exceptional. I understand no player is above criticism and I'm not saying he isn't but he is absolutely world class.

Is there actually anywhere I can go to talk positively about the team everyone here supposedly supports? if some people worry and stress about football as much as they do here then they'll do themselves a favour by just not watching it in the first place
