Am still waiting for the 100 days of snow the Express promised us last winter, least reliable rag out there

But it is inevitable he will go in the summer, he is too good for us

I fully expect him to go in the summer and who can blame there is nothing happening at spurs which would make him stay.
Still Love his comments in pre season when he signed a New deal and said that Levy had promised him ambition those two words Levy, ambition dont do so i did smile.
But i wish Hugo all the best when he Does go great keeper deserves better.

Starting to think Levy's only ambition for the Club is to be football's most prolific broodmare.

Tottenham are bracing themselves for a £20m bid from Real Madrid for France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 27, in the January transfer window. (Daily Express)

AS, Madrid's mouthpiece (well, one of them), said that the chances of a transfer happening are 'remote'. If they really wanted him, they would normally have some front page bollocks saying a transfer had been agreed.

If it happens, it will happen next summer. And I would only do a deal if we got someone like Isco as part of it.

With all the deals we have done with them when has any player ever come our way?

VdV is the only player I can think of us signing from them and it wasn't part of any deal for them taking our best talent (as far as I'm aware)

Levy will just want the cash, They would only offer some shit we don't want or expect too much money from any player they send our way (or of course their player would simply refuse to come to us)

If they want him he'll want to go - they'll probably get him and we won't do anything but bend over and take the money

Even then, one thing Levy is good at is extracting as much money as possible. With Madrid involved, we could get £50million.

Let's not jump to conclusions based on paper talk. Besides, if Lloris wants to move to a bigger club, we should let him, because it's nothing less than he deserves.

I can see Real going for de Gea (£40m+) over Hugo more of a galactico feel to the move.

Lloris is a £30m at a push - and thats if Man U play hardball over de Gea. But remember the player (de Gea in this case, who is Spanish)) always get their way with the mega deals.

Couldn't blame Hugo TBH. Definitely going in the summer regardless.

Hopefully we get top money and he gets some more success. Player like him and Bale deserve to be at a more successful club unfortunately.

I dunno - I think we could potentially keep him another year

Maybe but I wouldn't bank on it really. He is 27 so is going to want to start winning things soon. Depends how in demand he is I guess.

I partly blame myself for changing my Avatar to him after Sandro left (and AVB before him). It's proving a bit of a curse. Should have picked Ade!!

All true. I wonder if he'd want to move, though, as he's a product of the Atléti academy and from what I've seen he still follows his old club closely.

Not a lot of love lost between Real Madrid and Atlético..

He is wasted at Spurs and should leave. The guy amazes me obviosuly, and I'll alwyas be happy we had him. But with the amount of goals we are concedeing (not due to Lloris), it's silly to have a world class goalie. It's like using your silver tea set for brewing PG Tips, or putting on a black tie to go to the pub.
We won't get relegated if he goes, simply because he is not saving us any points presently. Not becuase he can't (we know he can), but because the rest of the team is always there to at least moderately fuck up anyway. Friedel and Vorm can pick the balls out of the net just as elegantly as Lloris can.
But he does look good in purple, that's for sure.

BBC sport currently running a poll titled "who is the best keeper in the prem?"

The choices? Hart, De Gea or Courtois.

Knobheads.

We'll sell Lloris, Real Madrid will sell Isco to Arsenal to raise the funds to buy him. We'll buy 29 more central midfielders with the money.
