Of course, these quotes may well have been taken out of context. But thing is that both PSG could do with a new (French) goalie (though Sirigu has done well for them) and Barca for sure will be looking for a new one, after Victor Valdez will be leaving them this summer. Lloris would be a very good choice for Barca as they play with a high black line and use their goalies as "sweeper", a job that Lloris is one of the best, if not the best, at amongst today's top goalies. PSG would pay top money.
Should Spurs have to look for another goalie then this would be my realistic "wish list":

First choices
Marc-André ter Stegen, Ron-Robert Zieler, Igor Akinfeev, Pepe Reina, Begovic, Handanovic, Vicente Guaita

Second choices
Bernd Leno, Rene Adler, Kevin Trapp, Fraser Forster, Steven Mandanda, Diego Alves, Julio Cesar, Fernando Muslera, Guzan

Out-siders
Jeffersen, Cristian Bonilla, Rui Patricio, David Ospina, Plamen Iliev, Kasper Schmeichel, Sergio Asenjo, Maksym Koval, Stefanos Kapino, Ali Ahamada, Alphonse Areola

The 27-year-old goalkeeper says the north London club are targeting Champions League qualification this term but, should they fall short, he would have to consider his options

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has opened the door to a transfer away from White Hart Lane at the end of the season if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.

The France international joined the north Londoners from Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2012 and has impressed in a Spurs shirt since usurping Brad Friedel.

But the 27-year-old, who still has another two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract, has hinted that he may not be a Tottenham player for much longer if Tim Sherwood's men miss out on a place in the top four.

“The objective is to reach the Champions League. After that, it's to close the gap on the biggest teams in the league,” the French No.1 told Telefoot.

“Without Champions League football? I've not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season.”

Lloris helped Tottenham to a club-record point tally in the 2012-13 campaign under axed boss Andre Villas-Boas, and has kept nine clean sheets this term with only goal difference keeping Spurs out of the top four.

I hope he doesn't go but if he did want to along with levy being a keen seller maybe we should move for begovic at Stoke.

If he was to go, we would get a fair amount of money for him & there's a lot of good goalkeepers around at the moment who we could replace him with at a fraction of the price we would recieve. Would prefer if he stayed however I'd be more annoyed if Sandro left

sell lloris, then we can buy a top left back. oh, crap, then we'd need a keeper wouldn't we, well, just sell vertonghen then, but we'd need a top cb then you say? well why don't we just sell sandro (y)

Hope he doesnt go, but if we dont get CL, we may see an exodus. We have to accept that.

As far as replacements, I'd look at Begovic and maybe even Guzan. My dream replacement is Thibaut Courtois, but yeahhhh...that's not going to happen. If Chelsea sells, it'll be to Atletico on a permanant.

Thinking about Guzan made me wonder how the hell Villa have been able to stay up. Like there back 4 is even worse this year and they were one of the worst, if not the worst, in the league last year.

Well if there was a bit of an exodus who gets the blame for that mess.

I'm not worried

He's good, sure but I don't think he is quite as good as many fans think, and as such is replacable if necessary.

Given the choice, I'd retain him though.

And we'll just have to qualify for the CL then, hopefully thanks to the unbelievable form Lloris himself shows rendering my first statement utter bollocks.

Love Hugo. But he deserves to be at the top if we can't get him there with us.

Forster/Reina would be ideal. Begovic a solid option too.

Paraphrase:

Interviewer: Hugo, what is the aim for Spurs this season?

Hugo: To finish in the top 4.

Interviewer: What will you personally do IF Spurs don't finish in the top 4, will you leave?

Hugo: It hasn't crossed my mind, I haven't given it even a second's thought.

Interviewer: Well, I've asked you now, so it has crossed your mind...so, what will you do, will you leave?

Hugo: I'll think about it if it happens.

Cue 847 sensationalised headlines asserting that Lloris is considering future at Spurs, followed by 79.3% of Spurs fans getting their knickers in an almighty twist because we might lose Lloris :giggle:

Discalimer: All statistics accurate at time of publication :sneaky:

He's certainly looked more shaky this season, enough to put off some potential suitors? Possibly. Not particularly worried about Barca as they'll be getting Reina in at very least, Pep has been telling them to buy ter Stegen too! PSG maybe, if they're really going for a more French-oriented team, but I'd not be surprised if they're eyeing up Valdes on a free as they're a sucker for a big name.
